Wasu! Just stumbled across this thread and I'm blown away! A lot of great work here that I can't wait to look over and digest. Surely, this will give me a lot to think about with my future builds!
Be sure to tell all your friends about it.

Do you have any interesting concepts for the actual witch class? :D
*checks archive*
I thought I did, but apparently the closest thing I have in my archive at this time is a hex magus.
I'll be sure to make one soon.

Also do you really love Flails? EDIT: And Casters?
Yes. Yes I do. I also love long swords, shields, and bows. Nothing screams fantasy better to me than these weapons. Google some knight pictures and 9 out of 10 of them will be carrying a longsword and shield (or equivalent blade).
And no inquisitor?! Why is it both of my favorite classes are missing. :( No love!
I have a number of inquisitors, and am relatively fond of them. Check out Riko Mycen, who is already posted.

Yay! For once I'm happy with my failure to full comprehend!

Plenty of reasons, but mostly personal taste. I find many of their abilities uninteresting and entirely too narrow. Adventurers need to be versatile.
A cavalier without his mount is like a wizard without his spellbook, only the GM is MUCH more likely to target the latter over the former.
I don't like classes that strip me of nearly all my class abilities every time I go into a structure, underground, or ship. (And small mounts don't really help, because then you get a bunch of weird looks from the NPCs.)

One day I will see fit to educate you as to why you are wrong.
But not today.

Why no switch hitting rangers?
Erh, cause I haven't gotten around to it yet?
Come on guys. I have about 100 characters (roughly). If you spew 500 concepts at me, odds are, I'm not going to have most of them.
I have plenty of rangers on file (not sure if they are switch hitters), but most of them were made (and played) by my friends, not me.

My Cavaliers hardly ever use their Mount...
The Cavalier is built more to be a Team player not a loner.
EDIT: Musketeer trades their Mount for a Firearm.

What about Samurai
Ravingdork |
These are great... but do you do any with tactical recommendations?
Doug M.
Do I have any with tactical recommendations?
A few. There were a few high level characters that, by the time I was finished with them, ended up being SO complex that I had to make tactical notes just to endure they lived up to their potential.
EDIT: And you know what? I can't seem to find them. I may have been thinking of some old v3.5 characters.

Azaelas Fayth wrote:Samurai gets a mount don't they? And yes they are a bit more loner than a normal Cavalier...But they aren't build around their mount.
Neither is a Cavalier. If you look only around 2 class features revolve around the Mount.
It is mostly people tend to take it as a Mounted warrior. Don't get me wrong they are some of the best Cavalry characters. But you can build them many ways.
And most dungeons tend to have enough space for you to bring along your mount as it is Large 1x2 not Large 2x2.
Heck, I have a Halfling Cavalier who hardly ever rides his Riding Dog Mount instead he fights side-by-side it.

FILE UPDATE
- All PC characters.
Minor changes have been made to each character sheet to make them more closely resemble the stat blocks found in the NPC Codex. Some characters now have new character portraits. I used a different DOCX to PDF conversion method this time, allowing for smaller file size, but also blitzing some of the pictures. If a character portrait doesn't look right to you, please point it out and I will re-upload it using the old method, which should fix the problem.

sorry if this has been asked, but are other people allowed to add their own wackos to this pile of awesome characters?
You're the first I think.
I've considered the idea, but ultimately decided that I want to get my stuff out first, before the thread starts to get cluttered with the awesome of everyone else.
Once I run out of existing characters, then I'll open it up to other people's PC concepts. Currently, I'm timing it all out to finish up some time around Christmas. After that, I will add individual characters as I make them (we will no longer be on the Monday format) and will open up the thread to others.

Would it not be better to have one place for people to come to for characters, rather than a bunch of scattered, hard to find threads.
Together we are strong. Apart we wither and die.
That is why we set up a thread to link all the threads. Similar to the Guide to class guides thread.
Though one thread wouldn't be bad. until it gets to be around 100 pages.

I'll think about it. We had some problems early on, presumably because the servers were being overwhelmed. If that is the case, I may want to limit the exposure to the files somewhat.
I'll try and get it all figured out by Christmas.

Thanks RD I stayed up so I could read all of your builds. Gave me many ideas for my own characters. As well as some ideas for some villains in the games I run for my group. I really liked Obrist Lang I think his name was... phalanx soldier/skirnir. Im of the same thought as you, I like sword & shield, or spear & shield types in a fantasy setting.

Following up with all those other authors. I've created a google doc to consolidate all of the builds we have on these forums. If you want to contribute, post on this thread and I'll add it to the resource.
