So not sure this has been brought up but I know a number of people have been unable to go to conventions and get boons. Since we are not supposed to trade boons for money I am going to suggest an alternative available to some that came up for me recently.
A friend was interested in an Aspis Agent boon (the one you play as a former Aspis member) and I had one available so I handed it over, figuring we would work out something later. He offered to paint one of my miniatures and I was surprised. I go to a lot of conventions and pick up a ton of boons but I am not a great artist when it comes to painting minis. So for the price of one boon I am getting a mini painted.
I would suggest this as an alternative when people are trying to get boons, not to buy them a mini but rather to paint one for them. Not sure what other people think but for me, it was a deal!

Actually, one of the new initiatives for 2016 is for GameDay rewards. There will be a limited amount of rewards granted to select local GameDay events each quarter by the Regional Venture-Coordinators. These will allow players who cannot play PFS at events other than with their local lodge to still earn some/most/all of the things players who attend conventions can. Will it include ultra-rare boons like GenCon GM boons? Dunno, yet, but circulation will reach a much wider audience.

Is there such a thing as a Fetchling boon?
Is it tradeable?
Does anyone have one?
My Paladin/Shadowdancer is going through Eyes of the Ten, and one of the plot arcs I'd like to use for her is getting a resurrection on her shadow companion (also her daughter - it's complicated) to use as the post-Eyes PC.
This sounds like a good way to launch a Fetchling PC.

IHIYC... The only Android boon I've ever seen was at a charity auction at GenCon in 2014. If memory serves, it went for over 1000$ US?
Things may have changed, but felt you should know.
Correct. The Android was a charity auction boon and is for the forseeable future one-of-a-kind.

It is heavily frowned upon to sell these boons. I provide them as a way to boost support to a con. At this time, there isn't much I can do about it. If it becomes a rampant problem, then we will reevaluate. This is similar to someone who wins a autographed book at a con and then puts it up for auction. Once it is in the person's possession, it is their property to do with as they wish. But, selling free boons doesn't sit well with me.So i searched the forums and found this from long ago...
is it ok if we have a boon and we would like to trade it for a small amount of paizo store credit ?
I have a Gen Con boon that i am not going to use. can i trade it for a small amount of credit and purchase a scenario ?
So here's the deal: everything you've mentioned in the trade (boon, store credit, scenario) are all Paizo's intellectual property. We are not empowered to dictate what people do with respect to trading Paizo product for product. Now, selling boons for non-Paizo product is a different story altogether. That's not only frowned upon, it's been explicitly stated that the practice of selling boons for $$ is not permissible.

Want:
Aasimar Boon
Have:
No Boons
Miniature Painting to "tabletop" level (If this is legal)
Several Pathfinder Printed Books (If this is legal. I went to all .pdfs a while ago, and have barely ever touched these.)
PaizoCon '16 Banquet Dinner Ticket (If this is legal)
Ability to Purchase Paizo Credit (If this is legal)
I've read through hundreds of posts in this thread and had determined paying cash for boons is forbidden; but the other things above seem to have never been clarified by a Paizo employee and seem acceptable to some posters and bitterly disdained by others.
Having recently been able to play my first "restricted" race due a certain season 7 scenario, I would like to create another. Family and work commitments continue to make attending cons a dream. I was planning to go and hopefully GM (even had a script running to text me changes to the Paizo blog to catch the call for GMs) at PaizoCon this year only to find out recently I'll be at a kiddos baseball tournament on the other side of Washington. I really wish there was a legitimate way to unlock races for those who don't go to cons; other then posts like this begging those folks who do go, but the system is what it is. I have heard about the Gameday initiative, but again same premise of requiring participation at a specific location/date.
If you're interested in miniature painting shoot me a PM and I'll send back some recent examples. If you're interested in the books I have shoot me a PM and I'll send back a list. I'm in the Seattle(Eastside) area and play at the Mox every Monday night if you want chat or see minis firsthand. I have no problem mailing thing to non Seattle area (but would prefer US based to avoid dealing with customs), and would prefer the physical boon be mailed to me back upon receipt of what I sent.
If someone from Paizo wants to comment on whether trading other Paizo goods, or services like mini painting, for boons is acceptable or not that would be appreciated as well. Not trying to break the rules and certainly want any boon usage to be legal.

There is. We have started a new rewards program this year to get boons/product support to GameDays just like we do for conventions. There are requirements the events must meet to qualify, but make sure your local organizer/Venture-Officer is providing details of your events to the Regional Venture-Coordinator (Todd Morgan for the US Pacific-Northwest) for consideration.

Bob, you missed the point that jcg was trying to make:

Ah ok. I knew it was part of said boon. I had no idea that was the only appearance. Thanks for the heads up!
