Okay I am starting up a switch hitting TWF Ranger instead of a great big sword. So I need advice on light weapons to quickdraw and only take that -2 for TWF. I've considered Kukris or Shortswords but for flavor I'm leaning more towards a sword but is there a light sword that offers 1d6 or higher AND has an 18-20 crit chance?? I dont have Ultimate Equipment yet so I'm not sure if they introduced one yet aside from a Wakizashi. On a side note, martial weapon if possible because I'm choked for feats as it is.

That sawtooth sabre thing is totally worth the exotic weapon proficiency feat (for a TWF character). If I were GM'ing it I would want some backstory to explain just how the PC became proficient with the signature weapon of the a bunch of secretive assassins, though.
For myself -- light maces. I know their crit range isn't large, and they only do one type of damage (bludgeoning), and they don't have a large damage die. But I just like 'em.

For good old flavour slash and piece light blades, try the Gladius - better than the short sword. Its more or less a shorter longsword with D6 damage as far as stats are concerned. Martial Weapon.
For Ninja etc who get exotic weapon proficiency, the Wakazashi does give you a 18-20 crit range/
The gladius also gives you piercing or slashing damage.

I always found it entertaining to dual wield a hammer and sickle. Bomanz already explained what's so great about the sickle, now get all that plus a bigger damage die (and different damage type in case of DR) in your main hand.
As for swords with large damage dice and wide crit ranges, your only real option is the falcata, and it isn't light. For light weapons, 1d6 is as big as your die is going to get. Kukris are pretty sword-like and they have the biggest "damage-die-to-crit-range ratio" you'll find.
If you want crit range, the best choice is kukris (or mainhand a falcata and offhand a kukri). If you want damage dice, mainhand a bastard sword. You'll need EWP either way I'm afraid.
Then again, you could use a double weapon. Double weapons tend to have better damage dice and crit ranges, but very few of them are sword-like.

Well, you kept on suggesting EWP, why not double bladed sword? Admittedly, I hardly think that can even be sheathed though (not by rule, but the fact it is long enough to be spear or staff like in appearance)
Wait, how do you count that for TWF? Two one-handed weapons? Might not be feasible. If it only gets the -2, then you get d8 attacks
