Because Oliver's son is dealing with PTSD/trauma about it, and also Diggle isn't a single parent.

Yeah, I have no idea if they addressed it in the episode, since I haven't seen it yet, but the trailer mentioned the single parent thing, so it did seem kind of obvious.

Also, Diggle doesn't have the FBI trying to crawl up his butt.

Diggle isn’t mayor. Oliver’s son is a bigger target if he stays arrow.

Yeah I think everyone here has adequately addressed the reason for letting Dig take over the role, even if a) he's still not 100% and b) it gives Oliver cover to not have enemies know that the Green Arrow and Oliver Queen aren't the same person.

That baffled me as well.

Spoiler:
And the oddly specific nerve damage. That only affects holding a gun and pointing it at someone.

Green,

I've seen nerve damage that makes it for people to not lift things but still hold a cup.

Okay, sure. But it's somehow easier to expertly manage a heavy-pull bow than a handgun? The added muscle strain completely suppresses the tremors?

Doesn't feel right.

And it only affects him during combat. Because that is when the actor is being told to shake. During dramatic dialogue scenes, there is no hint of it. When he is lifting/holding stuff outside of combat, it isn't there. and it doesn't affect punching or other combat actions.

What is being depicted is a psychological condition not the neurological one in the dialogue.

My wife said the same thing. The only answer would be Lila

And they've already addressed that with next week's auto-targeting crossbow (thank you Mr. Terrific)

Mr. Terrific needs to get some funding and just have his metal balls* patrol the city. Who needs archers and gunmen and sonic-screaming staff-fighters?

*Yes, I know, they're called 't-spheres,' bit I think 'Mr. Terrific's metal balls' sounds funner.

Mr. T's crifefightn' balls

So if they take someone down that person has been "t-balled"?

LMAO!

Yeah I'm Teeeeee, tee ballin' (sung to the Tom Petty classic)

I'm sure we'll get improved T-spheres when the Legends drop by and let him get access to tech from 20 years in the future.

So fully automated instead of Ball shaped boomerangs?

That's the hope!

Nope.

Once again the writers pull the trope of "I'm a cop/agent, so I can just break and enter and harass people and it isn't illegal." This is twice she just let herself into the mayors office - while carrying a weapon that she brought into a government building without informing security (which she couldn't have, or the mayor would have known she was there). I'm pretty sure that is sufficient to have her badge and some prison time.

I would actually love to see something like this happen just to shake things up every once in a while.

So why exactly couldn't they just use the fact that Siren is one of two people from Earth-2 on the planet? The tech to spot her is easily acquired from Cisco.

Nope.

Okay so turns out it's some sort of super drugs......leads to an upcoming addiction arc I'm sure. Guess Diggle is the new Roy.

My room mate and I both said that too. :D

Green,

Maybe Cisco is busy with trying to impress Gypsy's Dad. ;)

Wrong one Thomas. :D

Oh never mind I see what your saying.

So why wasn't FBI lady's first question: "What is the mayor's head of security doing contaminating a crime scene?"

They are called gloves. You can buy a box of them for a couple bucks. That bullet is useless as evidence. Other than to connect it to a gun - if the gun was registered or recovered.

Green,

My guess? She was still in shock from a guy walking away from a head shot.

The fight scene with slade was pretty good.

Thomas Seitz wrote:

Head shot was at the end. I'm talking the sniper nest at the beginning.

Green,

I must have missed that part...

Digg is at a police crime scene, handling a bullet casing bare-handed, and pocketing it as FBI woman walks in. And somehow, Curtis can get something usable off the casing.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Well to be fair, Curtis IS Mister Terrific. ;)

Sovereign Court

His combat is always SO ridiculous to me. He tosses a ball at the head of a dude shooting at him and doesn't get shot....

Hama,

Maybe he's worked out force fields?

Sovereign Court

Lol nope

Hey I'm just offering suggestions! ;)

The bad guy is too worried about the baseball being thrown at his head that it screws up his aim.

It's actually a standard gun defense tactic (a reason to always have a handful of change in your pocket) but only the most seasoned professional can flinch and aim simultaneously. Being in a shootout is one thing, bullet's aren't visible. Having an object flying towards your head within line of sight triggers autonomic responses that screw up things like aiming.

Huh, I suddenly understand the batarang...

I love the Batarang. Especially the ones Terry McGinnis got to use.

Batman Beyond is criminally underrated show.

Best piece of the DCAU.

Easily the best thing DC ever did in the 90s that's for sure.

Finally got it watched. So Jericho isn't a hero in this world.

What was that in Dinah's hand at the end?

Crisis on Earth X Crossover trailer

Based on Alex and Sarah Lance taking shots (the drink type, not the bullet type) and team fighting, looks like my call on Sarah being Alex's rebound is totally legit :P

Agent Watson works for Cayden James.

Sovereign Court

How the hell does Diggle not know what a thermobaric weapon is? He was in the special forces for god's sake.
