Calculating BAB

Rules Questions

So I took a feat that allowed me to increase my base attack by one. This brought it from 10/5 to 11/6. Would that give me a third attack since it is actually raising my base attack?

Grand Lodge

There is no such feat.

Maybe you took a feat that raises your total attack bonus (probably only with a certain weapon/attack or in certain conditions), but surely not one that increases your Base Attack Bonus.

Grand Lodge

No PC's BAB can be higher than their character level.

Iterative attacks are based on your BAB, so if there was some homebrew feat that you took that allowed you to increase your BAB to +11 then yes, you would have 3 iterative attacks on a full attack (+11/+6/+1).

Base Attack Bonus is what you get from your classes. That's it.
That number determines your number of attacks.

Feats like Weapon Focus or masterwork or magic weapons etc increase your attack bonus, but not the BAB.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Though, if there was for some reason such a feat, then yes it would. But there isn't.

Also - there are a lot of teeth in the avatars here; seems downright hostile! Run for it magikmaan! They want to eat you!

And also run from that trunk. May actually be nastier than the teeth.

Grand Lodge

I only run from sheep.

They scare the crap out of me.
