I am opening up recruiting for a homebrew Steampunk Pathfinder game I am starting, The game will likely be starting in October or November. It will be on Sundays, most likely on a bi-weekly basis. It will be ran using map tools and most likely Skype. I find it takes a while to get a good group together, which is why I'm starting recruiting now.
Requirements: You must have a good internet connection with audio hardware. You must be a serious and committed player. If you think your gonna miss more than 1 in 5 games, please do not apply. Must have at least some grasping of the rules. In this particular campaign I have to much vested to deal with players who do not know the basic mechanics. Understand and be ok with my house rules.
How I will choose my final players: The players who have the best character concepts and appear the most reliable will be the first to be chosen. I have 100's of hours into world creation, so those who can understand what I am doing in the world, and create characters accordingly will be chosen first. Players who pick a theme with the rest of the party will also be given special precedent. I run games to completion, so please be committed to run for two or so years. I do have players in my other game who are likely coming over, but I am not guranteeing them a spot, so theoretically there are six spots at the table, though likely there will only be 2 or 3 after my incoming players.

Character and setting rules are under the Wiki
If you'd like to see another campaign I am currently running. http://www.obsidianportal.com/campaigns/under-a-bleeding-sun
If you are interested please leave your obsidian portal (or message it to me) ID, and join the discussion on character creation on the obsidian portal board.
Game will be played on maptools - using either skype or Ventrillo most likely.

I would love to join, unfortunately i will be at sea for 4 months this year and 8 months next year. One thing that might work in this campaign though for anyone who joins you would be the Artificer from tome of secrets: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-classes/adamant-entertainment/art ificer
this class exemplifies steampunk, especially if the GM allows them to scrap a lot of stuff and create different inventions.

Thanks, I do know of that class. While it fits very well, I opted to use someones artificer conversion of the alchemist class I found on these boards.
Mainly, I felt that getting all the item creation feats for free was going to be unbalancing in this particular campaign.
Hopefully we can get that last spot filled though soon. I guess they ban you from the internet out there;)

I'd love to try something like this, but I live in China. So my timezone is GMT+8 (12 hours ahead of EST). I don't want to mess with all the Obsidian portal stuff if I'm not gonna be available during the time the game is going on. What day and what time are you planning on running it? I can use Skype, and I use Maptool to make maps for my PBP games.

So, I've now hit a full game, though I'm really not digging one of the players (no one from here) so if someone else where to apply I can almost guarantee them a spot, unless your even worse, which is highly improbable.
What's the current status of this game? I'm kinda interested. Is everyone level one?
