Pantheon Building

Advice

Hello Advice Forum! I'm currently constructing a homebrew world and am having trouble building a pantheon for it. I really don't just want to make a god(dess) for every class and race. I'm really stuck in a rut. I will say that I do have a temp pantheon, which I will post here, so you may judge kindly. Also, in my world, The dieties are involved in the lives of their believers. I usually warn players before every session to be careful of what they say when it comes to the gods. I had a player who played a rogue state "If I am lying, then let Styx rend my flesh from my bones." He WAS lying and his skin was divinely flayed from his body, killing his character. Now, I shall Post my deities. I appreciate your help. There are a few who CANNOT change. They are Death, Alestros, Acheron, and Jereth.

This sounds like a reall cool idea Luna_Silvertear. As far as the planes go, are they different from the Pathfinder planes? For the deities to be as involved as they are in the material plane it could suggest that their home planes are a lot less remote than the Outer Planes usually are. I'm not saying they must be more accessable, but from their influence it seems to suggest they are.

Also are the servants of the deities more common on the material plane? How likely would it be to meet an angle/demon/devil on the material plane?

I notice Death resides in the Material plane. A brief note where the other deities reside would be cool, not needed probably, but cool never the less. A brief discription of these planes would be cool to see although I'm sure that would take a lot of work.

What you have here looks good to me, can you explain how your you are stuck and what you are looking for? That makes it easier to help.

The planes are the same as Pathfinder, except Jereth resides on the Plane of Dreams, which connects to all other planes much like the Astral. As far as servants go, you see them, but most deities are hands on. In my last game, all the players had met their gods, and even one accended. Death has his own home, but no other god(dess) has been there nor do they know where it is. Death has no servants, although he does take tea with Acheron and Cosmos occasionally. One player actually found out at the end of the campaign that his cohort was actually an avatar of Alestros. She had never spoken, although when she began to, she was ALWAYS cut off by something...and the best part is that NONE of the players noticed!

Overall cohesiveness is my problem. Do they all fit together or am I missing something?
