Hrm, perhaps I should invest in some potions of displacement, but I fear I've spent all of my original "gear" money already. (I think what I have now is leftover from (mainly) the wondrous item category)
Divine casters get all the good charged Wondrous Items. I suggest you check out that section.
The rules are a little shaky on whether you can use a candle of invocation on an oracle (the writeup says "cleric"), but at 8.4kgp it's immensely powerful for what it does. Take a look at the prayer beads to see if there's anything you fancy.
The big buy though, will be a few incenses of meditation, which let you maximise your cure and blast spells for a day. (Wow.) At 4,900gp you can probably afford at least two.
If you're still looking for consumables a few remove x potions, potions of barkskin +4 (900 a pop), potions of heroism or good hope, (750 and 1050) or perhaps even a few bulls strength potions (300) seeing as you don't have a belt to boost it (they don't stack.)
Seriously though, stock up on that incense. I'm really excited to see it in play.

Okay everyone else, this is turning into an actual recruitment thread. I haven't called for them yet but their are some excited players out there who have already submitted PCs. If you care to submit a PC now, then do so. It will take some time to pick the party so if I have my pool of PCs on the thread then I can start making decisions on this sooner rather than later. Thank you.

Funny thing is, I had seen the lack of a healer/support char and rolled up a oracle of ancestors, only to check again this morning and see two other oracles in the mix. While one of the most entertaining parties I've ever play in was four oracles and a bard, I imagine that might not be what Maslen is looking for, so I'll try and do up a sorcerer again. Should have it up by tomorrow morning.
Armen Corrick |
(alias of CorvusRex, who posted earlier)
Here's an Alchemist (mindchemist/Psychonaut) i drummed up for a level 12 thread but wasn't picked. i can push him up to 15 pretty easily.
my other ideas are: An Ulfen Two handed fighter (maybe skirmisher ranger) -- a (former) Linnorn King who essentially got bored of ruling and has set out in search of bigger and meaner things to make dead. Headstrong, brash, unwilling to admit that he's getting old.
Elven Druid (worldwalker) animal companion, focus on spell casting (as per Treantmonk's build more or less) , having seen so much of the natural world, he seeks the mysteries of the beyond and the challenges of serving the gods.
Other option is a Paladin, which i've never played but I'm itnerested to try. It really depends on which is most interesting or useful

Maslen, how would you rule on the use of candle of invocation for an oracle?
Same question for incenses of meditation, per RAW you could say the incense doesn't work since it talks about all of a casters prepared spells - and since oracles don't prepare their spells ahead of time...
If either/both of those are good I'll add some to my consumable equipment. If not I'll need to see what the party looks like to try and fill voids with wands or other items.
(Thanks Twig for pointing those out)

Until Paizo see fit to include the Oracle, I play it as it's read. I don't have time to go into house rules and interpretations. I leave that to those that get paid to do it. I'm not uncaring, I just don't have energy to waste on this sort of thing when it's plainly written on the SRD.

Im done but I suddenly feel all alone here.
Klemp, I highly suggest taking a deeper look at the intelligent item stuff. It costs alot though there is some real good stuff in there for your "hanger"
edit, I think you really overpaid on your hanger. I come to only 36500(though giving it fly instead of teleport or as well would make at lot of sense)
Sky-Captain Henry Klemp |
Missed my edit to edit for you edit, Im having another look now, the Idea for teleport and not fly is that, The skyship flys, have to things is over kill, and if his Edalon is send home, it can teleport under the core and save it from falling to its doom. You have to admit the idea of Sky-Captain Klemp is great. I love the mad Gnome.
Pathfinder Maslen |
I am finding your sheet to be not very user friendly .
Hard to read. In all honesty. I don't really want to this to be an experiment in character concepts. Like I said before, I don't wish to spend time going over rules for obscure pc builds.
I know this may sound unfair but those pcs that don't need alot of revising by me will probably be accepted before one requiring alot of attention on my part.
DarkLightHitomi |
I forgot about those .5. They come from My excel character maker.(edit; Yes I will delete those)
Do you have a preferred format I can convert it too?
And in that case I will post a more straight Sorcerer/Shadow dancer. Sorry didnt realize I included obscure stuff(except for the intelligent item, anyway).
Sky-Captain Henry Klemp |
Ok the Captain has his dolls in place and will fire have the fire from the Sky ship 4 per side, this means only 4 can for a broad side at a time. Gone for Magic Missile 3ed level as they are cheap so 2d4+2 per shot, = 8d4+8 per volly, Not much of a hard hitter so may pay for high cost ones. Tiny Cannon may be better. Some thing like 1d10 per shot, but two round reload, that kinds of thing. May use magic rounds, that would be better.
Morgrym of Clan Dorethain |
If you need help, DarkLight, you could take a look at Morgrym's alias for a format. I'll be honest, I can't even tell what class you've built, there.
Also for a quick tally:
Mlungisi - Life Oracle
Darklight - Sorcerer?
STR Ranger - ??
Myself - Fighter
Sky-Captain Henry Klemp - Summoner
CorvusRed - ??
Mr. Swagger/wraithstrike - Bard?
Lots of interest but not many builds, it seems. Keep those applications coming! Or perhaps when we're ready to roll we should start a tidier recruitment thread?
DarkLightHitomi |
I looking at your profile I would definitly say ease of use is based more on how used to it your then design.
I will change it to that format but It might take me a minute to figure out that format, it seems rather difficult and I didn't. Even see the ability scores, though being on break I couldn't look very closely.
My original classes were sorc/cleric/dragon disciple/fighter/shadow dancer all vanilla. Mostly it was collecting abilities rather then following premade concept but hey.
Since that is no good Ill play sorcerer with 1 lvl of fighter and then switch to shadow dancer. Simpler but helps retain some the original ideas. This time TWF though.

DarkLight, this may (or may not) help you.
Paizo Character template and open the most recent version. It comes from another poster on these boards, Laithoron. Fill in the parts that apply to your character, delete everything else, and you pretty much have your stat block laid out. I didn't use it for this toon (though it is similar) but I plan to use it for any future profiles I do on these boards.
