Can a Barbarian use a ki pool (if he gains one somehow) while raging?

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

I know the PRD states that any action requiring patience or concentration is off limits while raging, and I'm inclined to agree that it shouldn't be.

However, utilizing ki isn't explicitly stated to need concentration or patience. Thoughts?

Barbarian Ninjas!

I think it would depend upon specific use. Basic uses of ki could probably be allowed, more advanced would depend upon type of ability activated - vanishing trick and other spell duplicating ki uses would be a no, for example.

as raw yes they can, if this were 3.5 you wouldnt because they said you could not use anything using int, wis, or cha while raging.

so yes you can monk/barbarian or rogue/barbarian.

and fyi a rogue barbarian with furious finish, and vital strike is a beast... my god.

@TheSideKick Monk preq is being lawful, barbarian is anything but lawful.

@Volks I suppose it would depend what kind of ki trick is it?

Actually, I was thinking a Wild Rager Barbarian / Ninja using a Composite Longbow. With all the proper feats/buffs, you could be looking at a rager who can fling out 7 arrows (6 attacks) in a full attack by a mere +6 BAB. It would look something like this:

______________________________

-3 to all attack rolls (-2 from Wild Fighting, -2 Rapid Fire, +1 from Haste)

+3(2 Arrows via manyshot)/
+3(Wild Fighting)/
+3(Extra Attack from 1 expended Ki Point)/
+3(Haste)/
+3(Rapid Shot)/
-2(Iterative Attack due to +6 BAB)
______________________________

Oh, sure, it doesn't look like it's worth it. But consider a high dex mod, weapon focus, perhaps a small character, magic items, etc., this -4 to attack rolls is easily overcome.
