Awesome end to S2 of Konosuba. Aqua has never been more awesome, and Kazuma didn't see a bit of it.
Interesting hearing about the deal between Wiz and the Demon Lord's forces. Kind of helps explain why things are so laid back for the bulk of the population.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon
Anime, why do you always have to be so... for example, why is the vast-chested Quetzalcoatl woman living with the young boy who keeps telling her to leave him alone? What does she want from him? Why can't she respect his boundaries? Why is everyone OK with this?
The in-story reason seems to be that the lad somehow "summoned" Q-lady/Moe-ified, Antlered version of RWBY's Yang with rainbowed highlights and the occasional... Gainax-Style Bounce. Of course, he had intended to summon a demon of sorts, I think. Let this be a cautionary tale for all would-be inter-planar summoners...
The meta reason though? Ermm, maybe it's sorta dis color commentary on how certain types of folks get all uneasy around the opposite gender regardless of age? It's prolly jus' some nawty World-Class Q-lady fanservice though. ;)
The "Sweet Mustaches and Bureaucratic Procedures inan Alternate Modern-Style Realitya Modern-Style Alternate Reality" Award goes to ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. via Funimation. Taking place in an alternate dimension where the main landmass looks very much like a bird-shape, there's intrigue and conspiracies to be found- plus awesome mustaches (on some of the cast).

It's official. I love KONOSUBA. I will be following the Manga on comixology and will get the DVD when it comes out.
Also, I love Wiz. I will be changing my background on my phone to wiz from Mei.

Wiz is pretty fun, isn't she? XD ...I'm an Eris fan myself, although I ultimately like all the characters. I'm also getting the novels as they come out.

RE: Keijo - I think it's making fun of sports in a similar way that Konosuba made fun of fantasy. The Gilgamesh reference was something.
Fuuka - Commonly considered a garbage fire of tropes, can still be fun to watch.
Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu - Season 1 was excellent, the voice acting and facial animations come together very well for this show. The setting of pre-war/wartime Japan is pretty different from what I'm used to in anime. I'm looking forward to watching season 2 (which is out, I just haven't gotten to shows lately).

The other ones I'd say are must sees from this season are, Konosuba 2, Interviews with Monster Girls, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, and Little Witch Academia (won't actually be on Netflix till the second cour is done, but you can find it elsewhere if you really want to).

Okay, so we're pretty much at the end of the Winter, 2017 cour, and since I prefer to watch shows at my own pace, rather than wait for a new episode each week, I wanted to ask what anime debuted in the last three months that you guys think is worth watching. (Crunchyroll or Netflix is preferred, as those are the streaming services I have.)
So far I've started watching Youjo Senki (I really can't bring myself to call it "The Saga of Tanya the Evil") and Fuuka, both of which I'm enjoying very much. What else should I be looking at?
Konosuba can't get enough recommendations. Seriously if you like Playing RPGs you'll enjoy this show.
One Punch Man is on Netflix now if you haven't seen it. Great spoof of Superhero Genre and some amazing action sequences.
Blue Exorcist just wrapped up it's second season and did a splendid job of it
and then there is the weird one Kemono Friends
It looks kind of cheap, it seems kind of silly and childish, it's very easy to dismiss and not being worth watching, but....It's hard to explain. The show is addictive and there is a mystery in it's world building that is kind of facinating.
again don't really know how to explain it. It's just one of those shows that hooks you somehow, despite everything against it. Give it a try, around episode 3 or 4 seems to be the point where people start obsessing over it.
It's good but if asked I really couldn't tell you why

I really hope Tanya the Evil gets a 2nd season. Enjoyed the hell out of that Evil Loli's exploits.

My Hero Acadamia - Half recap but still a great start to the new season.

Alice & Zoroku: Extra long first episode (45 minutes). This is interesting and not what I thought. Conspiracies, evil corporations, little girls who can change reality and a grumpy old man. Some interesting powers, good action (bad CGI) and a mystery

The Royal Tutor - Not bad. The Princes fit nicely into the pretty boy archetypes so I was expecting a reverse harem. Turns out the main character is having none of that and is a young man very serious about his work. He has heard their objections to his being their tutor and decided to ignore them as it has no bearing on his lesson plan.
I like this guy, and the stunned look on the faces of the four princes when he flat out ignored them was priceless.
Also Many Sparkles and Roses....so many Sparkles

Armed Girl's Machiavelism - Silly set up, but that's fine. Neat character designs, decent action, less fanservice as I was expecting. Kind of fun, gonna give it a few more episodes.
Interesting thing is that when you take into account the way the school is set up, the main character has the potential to be a very disruptive threat without intending it. The more he wins the more he will become a rally point for the guys who are being oppressed. Considering that those guys are mostly delinquent thugs who got kicked out of other schools that could lead to a dangerous situation.

Berserk is turning out a bit better than last year.
Some of the CGI is still kind of slow and floaty but I think the over all quality has improved. Guts vs. Zodd was nicely done and Serpico's backstory was handled well

Boy, Endeavor's son in My Hero Academia is something else....
Enjoyed seeing Krillin get some shine, now I'm looking forward to seeing Goku's one-on-one encounter with Android 17, since they never got to actually meet in DBZ.
The closing credits of Attack on Titan season 2 creep me out...

Akashic Record of a Bastard Magic teacher
Mentally I have problems meshing the school girl's uniforms with a victorian setting. It's very imersion breaking for me. Those uniforms would never happen in a victorian setting
Setting that aside. Episode 2 much better than episode 1. I absolutely loved how he broke down the spell and how it works for them. (Why dosen't Words of Power work this way Paizo). A lot of obvious things were laid out for the audience and the story kicked up a notch rather quickly.
The end was a great example of why Wizards need to Multi-class as Monk

Atom the Begining is pretty damn good, although a bit strange seeing certain characters when they were young and full of hopeful idealism.
and Re:Creators is facinating. The idea that the real world is packed with multi-layered information of great complexity, thus giving it the ability to spawn other less complex worlds is interesting.
Then of course we get the Battle between the Magical Girl and the Hero, with a look at the very real consiquences of that battle becoming a shock to the magical girl.

That "That's what makes it magical" line made me roar with laughter! It's not often that Japanese comedies actually make me laugh, but some gems are just too good (Konosuba, for example, might very well be my favorite anime in a decade!).
So far, "Rokudenashi Majutsu Koushi to Akashic Records" is my favorite anime of the new season. :)

Rage of Bahamut 2 is doing pretty good as well and quite the twist really.
In the original series humanity was kind of caught in the middle of the Gods vs. Demons and in the end all sides got pretty badly trashed.
In the new series humanity recovered quickest and apparently invaided hell and enslaved all the demons. No longer forced to sek the protection of the Gods to save them from demons the humans have set their sights on the conquest of heaven.
and the thing is I can see Humanity doing that.

ok as of episode 4 Alice & Zoroku is on my list of shows people should watch. This turned dark fast and then gets saved by grizzly old Gramps. SciFi drama with big heart. If you haven't watched it yet check it out

I had been, gonna be harder to do so now that Nyaa is gone. I like the set up and the characters, what little I have seen of their magic system is pretty interesting too. What little they have explained is kind of like how I view Pathfinder magic system. Ritual as the core and then spells evolved from that by the need for faster magic.

It saddens me that so many good old school anime will more then likely never see a Blu Ray release. Heck, there some that I like that never got a DVD release.
I couldn't become a hero so I reluctantly decided to get a job is the GREATEST SERIES EVER
NOT EVEN TEN MINUTES IN and I knee this series was for me.
Ah, I remember that one. XD I believe it's one of the earlier "reverse" hero series.
(If you haven't already seen The Devil is a Part-Timer, I think you'll enjoy it, as well)
I already love chiho, now i love 90% of the cast of i couldn't become a hero so I reluctantly decided to get a job.

that was interesting. Humanity clearly got to a very impressive level before everything went bad. Can't imagine how big "The City" must be. Would make for one hell of a campaign setting. Lots of yoinkable ideas there
