Where do you see anything about S&W going to print?
I guess looking at the last response from FGG at the Kickstarter website:
"Books will be back from the printer in late August."
As well as the last update:
"We received confirmation from the printers today that the book went to print."
I guess by "the book" that they are referring to both versions or not. If not, to have it back by late August, when is the latest it could be sent? or will the S&W print be later than the PF print?
Just wondering...

@TriOmegaZero, I didn't feel you were being hostile. No need for apology.
@Chuck, I have full confidence that you know your business, you are a vital and essential part of the layout and distribution of the final product. Let me take this opportunity to tell what a fine and excellent job you are doing.
So, I was simply thinking out loud (in print) and bemusing in a whimsical sort of way. I will wait in a relaxed and zen-like state for any additional info on this greatly anticipated product.

In the meantime, I've been working on the other goodies.

If this means the Player's Guide, then I'm extremely happy. My players don't want to make up characters without seeing the PG so, as much as I'm anxious for the full RA pdf to release, I'm also very excited to see the PG released too...

What I really need... is an auto- refresh.Waits...
Yeah, I'm hoping for some word on things. It's been a little while. Haven't received my paypal invoice for shipping and extra purchases yet, but I imagine those will be along in a few days.
Still looking forward to the S&W kickstarter too...

We are busting this stuff out as fast as we can--but we are also making sure editing is done (Thank you Aaron!) on the SW version. We'll get stuff posted sand out asap--just asap is taking longer than we thought. Books 3-9 are at the printer now (there are 13 total books in this mix). Chuck is still working on the modules and the main SW book.

SG is not down with tentacle.

ps--we developed a database tracking deal for shipping bills--its still being tested. We will send bills out as soon as it works every time:)
So I have been tasked with testing and collecting the data. This part of my job sucks. lol We are in the final stages of testing now and hope to have invoices go out this week. I know we said that last week but we ran into some snags that we thought best to fix first. As Bill said we are moving over to a new bigger and better system so we need to make sure it is perfect.

Yeah, The Honeymooners. Who doesn't know that line?
Skeeter was more recriminating what he and Kthulhu were saying to each other, I believe.

I got the Kickstarter update email last night. It was good to see where things are at, but there was a piece of the puzzle that I didn't see any mention about: the d20Pro map files and the Hero Lab encounter files. What is the status on these? Will they release with the pdfs? How will they be released? I'm envisioning a big zip file, but I'm curious to hear FGG's thoughts on this.
<br /><br />
Finally, and I'll just come out and say this, is it necessary to wait for the invoices to go out before releasing the pdfs? Aren't the invoices just for shipping on the physical products, whereas the content of the pdfs was already purchased with our Kickstarter pledges?
<br /><br />
I'm not judging; it just seemed like an odd delay. If it's just a matter of not having time to get them uploaded, I totally understand. I'm sure you guys are burning the candle at both ends trying to get this stuff done and out the door.
<br /><br />
As always, nothing but respect and admiration for you guys; keep up the good work.

The pdfs are still being finalized, they don't have any tie-in with the invoices. As stated about a dozen times now, there were errors in the S&W version, and chuck and Aaron are getting them fixed, and when that's done they will be uploaded.
We are still working on the digital aspects as well, so the d20 Pro and HeroLab files will be coming out when they're done.
Honestly, this Kickstarter was a WAY bigger effort than even we thought. While we love our fans and the show of support, we we're not as prepared as we thought. We'll do better next time, for sure :-)
I know for a fact, once you guys see all the stuff you'll get in your swag boxes (I've only seen some of the finished product myself, and not even all at once!), you'll be very impressed.

An artist friend of mine used to silkscreen t-shirts which he sold on Ebay, at arts festivals, and so on - they got "discovered" and suddenly he had about 3000 orders: this is at once "fantastic" and "uh oh". So, I totally understand :)
Personally, I never rush the chef - I'd rather wait a little for the best product. Until then, I'll appreciate the occasional update.
Good luck with all the cat chasing in getting the product out; I look forward to seeing it!

Skeeter,
<br /><br />I knew about the S&W fixes that were holding up some of the pdfs, no biggie there. What I thought was curious was the Kickstarter update last night that seemed to tie the release of the pdfs to the sending of invoices. That was the only part that I was curious about. I'm probably just reading too much into the email.
<br /><br />
Also, for the record, I'm more than happy with how FGG has handled their first Kickstarter. The donation amount turned out to be orders of magnitude greater than you were expecting, so yeah, I'm sure that Murphy is rearing his ugly head more than normal with getting everything completed.
<br /><br />
Having been a staunch supporter of first Necromancer Games and now Frog God Games I'm just happy to have you guys here doing what you do.

My understanding is that some people have contributed to other kickstarters and two years later they are still waiting for everything they were promised and sometimes for the actual project to be completed.
I think that if we have to wait weeks or even longer for the Frogs to get everything done they are still way ahead of the curve.
The difference between this kickstarter and many others is that most of the writing was done before the kickstarter ended and now we are into finalizing things and getting them printed, etc. This undertaking could have easily taken a year or more to get to us (Remember the Tsar). And Even though I am anxious to read it, I am happy it is not going to be months or more before they get it to us.

It actually funded faster than Rappan Athuk--by a few minutes. Give this one a try--I was able to get my kids playing by the time they were 5 years old--and it makes a great break from rules heavy games. I even keep a set of books in my RV and we play when traveling.
Big news on the KS coming soon as well--we are going to "give back" and we will have a very special endorsement I think:)

Heck, they're still waiting for regular communication from those that got the money.
FGG is so far ahead of the curve that they've almost lapped it.
Anxious definitely describes my attitude towards this Kickstarter, but absolutely nothing negative has crossed my mind.
Keep up the awesome work, folks!!
