Regarding Loki - even the Loki in the comic books is actually pretty close to the Loki of norse myth...let's just say he is outsmarted there a lot, by humans, gods, giants and sometimes by his own plans turning against him and (at times literally) f___ing him up.
Black Widow doing the same isn't any sort of new to the God of Lies.
