I have backed @ $100. Should be interesting. However I have read that even with this pledge there will probably be a subscription during beta. It may irk me a little at the moment but, I am sure in 2014 it won't bother me at all.

@ Alexander Maybe we could get a guild pack together to lower costs for a group. Or Maybe see if someone is will to pledge up $75 and give you the extra copy for that price.

I'm back guys. I know that I vanished for a few months after coming to the first few meetings. I'm going to be in in the first month though (finally an MMO I get into on the ground floor so to speak).

Probably with a cleric as my main, but I have plenty of time to decide and the idea of an arcane caster is tempting depending on how they do the mechanics of spontaneous/prepared casting.

After paying for the kickstarter to do the tech demo, I thought that would count for something. Rather regretting the $50 I spent then that doesn't seem to count.

@ Alex I understand that. I limited myself to that $50 pledge because I was anticipating this move. I don't think GW has forgotten about you. And at the very least we haven't you were one of the first members of GL here.

I look at my pledge as me paying to get into the game 9 months before release and sooner than June 2014 apon a succesful kickstarter.

I am buying two copies and Ill help Jak pay for Alex. We need 2 more for the guild pack. It's 83.33 per person and if you can't afford that then put in 50 like Alex and Ill cover it. That offer only goes to current GL members though.

Don't remove your pledges till we get a set list of people who are pledging together btw. Don't want anyone left in the cold.

Why do you want to join GL: It seems to be a group focused on making the game more fun for everyone. Additionally, having a group of friends and allies you can rely on and trust makes the game much more enjoyable. Lastly, I've always preferred playing good guys and heroes which this company definitely represents.
What parts of GL's ideology do you find most appealing: The focus on cooperation and teamwork. Much more can be accomplished together than individually.
If you have a RP-background/concept for your character, what is it?:

Two main character concepts I'm batting around currently:
- First is a cloud dragon bloodline sorcerer I used to play on a Neverwinter Nights RP server. He was essentially a child born on Hermia that rejected the lifestyle and was banished from there. Bit prideful due to his heritage and upbringing but very kind and quick to help others.
- Other is a rogue since I really tend to like spying and subterfuge. Would really need to flesh out the character and background, as I currently just have the very basics thought out. More than likely highly stealth, bluff, and disguise focused and more of a spy than thief or thug.

Which I go with will depend on several factors including how the mechanics of the game handle stealth/disguises/magic and the guild's own population of the above roles. I prefer to play characters that don't fit the majority when I can.

Nay that stuff including the chicken s!#* advisor sounds like it comes with responsibility. I rather stick with "Most amazing mech/fighter pilot". Killed four goons yesterday. It felt...nice.

Kickstarter is over 11% complete in less than 24 hrs. Its making good headway it seems.

I have been looking at the trending numbers and if it stays steady they could be close to 2.7 million at close.

I just hope they start giving us something to drool over in the next month in a half. Some will need that assurance to jump on board.

From what I have seen all kick starters get a rush in the start, slow in the middle, and finally get a huge boost in the end. See how the early access is paced I wonder if that will shake up the formulae.

That being said I hope they do regular updates with interesting stuff.

Well if you look at the tech demo... in the first 2 days there were only 900 backers with a total of $60k with a great lull in the middle and a great big ending.

We are not even done the second day and have almost 1100 backers with $117k in. I think that is a good sign, but they will need to give us somethings to get excited about and they should happen on a daily basis in my opinion.

Yeah I just hope it TS works on my phone when the meeting happens!

Yeah the only difference that it actually pays to back early in the way they have made this kickstarter. So we might see a different pattern in the way this plays out. It will be interesting to see the least.

I wish for daily updates. I am hoping its once every 2-3 days. At the very worst it should be every 5 days but, we shall see.

Gayel, when you look at the $100 pledge (or any of them for that matter), you will see in bold how many backers have pledged for that amount.

After you pledge, you can look to see what the backer number is at and that most likely is the number you are. Although if you didn't look at what the backer number was, or don't remember, it could be hard to say now with how many more might have pledged.

However, if you want to play from the get go, all you really need to worry about is if you pledged in before it drops below 16,000, as that is the cut-off for the first month. But since it hasn't even hit 1,000 backers (for the $100 pledge), you are safe.
