Probably the first person I have seen in GL that might make a Monk. Would be pretty cool. Should make a poll or something to see what the most popular classes are going to be.

Goblin Squad Member

It seem we will have a lot of lawful one (and good) but not a lot of chaotic or neutral.

Just a remark.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

I am sure we will have a good balance but, considering what our company is about it's not surprising that its almost all Good Characters.

Goblin Squad Member

I was joking a little for the good.

All that monk hate should have a target :)

I should be easy to spot if I get in then - the only Legionaire not wearing armor and waving a sword. May get mistaken as a squire though...

Shaolin monks were protectors of the temple and surrounding estates in lawless times.

Goblin Squad Member

I'm still not 100% sure what class I want to make my main, not just because we still don't completely know how each class will function, but if Pathfinder Online ever combines with Dreamscarred Press to create a Psionic expansion for it, all bets are off.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Yeah like I said it depends what/if Prestige Classes are avalible. I mean things Like Dragon Disciple, Shadow Dancers, Pathfinder Chronicler and Mystic Theurge are very cool classes.

If the DD is avalible then thats what I will be. Otherwise It probably a Dwarven Paladin of Torag. Mostly Combat focused but, maybe some skills towards mining.

Goblin Squad Member

I'll probably be playing something very similar to the character I'm running in Jak's PnP campaign...so expect a big Ulfen with a sword and heavy armor charging at anything big and viscious looking and looking for some old guy in robes to cower behind any time something slightly magical seems to be occuring ;)

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

lol Yes the old man wizard. This sunday's game should be interesting to say the least.

On the same note I was wondering if there was any interest in starting another PnP Pathfinder RPG game. Since there has been a growth in members in the GL and since Roll 20 provides a free digital table top to use. If anyone wants to GM another company/alliance wide group that would be cool. Not sure if we have any other GMs with free time though.

Goblin Squad Member

Well, I've GM'd campaigns in the past...though never Pathfinder and never on a virtual tabletop. I might be willing to give it a shot...but I'm not sure how good I would be..

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

I could probably manage to play, but after getting put in charge of my local chapter of PFS, my GM/organizational talents are taken up elsewhere. If someone gives it a shot, I've no problem pitching in and being the convenient shill in the party who makes the GM's life easier.

Well i have PDFs of many Pathfinder Adventure paths so if one tickled your fancy you could give it a shot. They are really well done and easy to use. The ones I would be able to provide for the group are Rise of the Runelords, Serpent's Skull, Carrion Crown, Jade Regent, and Skull & Shackles. plus i would be there to help as well as others. And Roll 20 is pretty simple as well. Give it some thought.

Goblin Squad Member

I'd be interested in running through Thornkeeper, if someone was willing to GM it.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Thornkeep is a nice Dungeon grind if you don't really want any story with it.

Thanks, I actualy tend to do my own material...as it's easier to know what's going on and why....which is one thing that kinda drives me nuts when GM-ing published stuff.

If there were enough players interested, I might be willing to give it a shot on a test basis.... I could potentialy use one of the published modules as inspiration/background to riff off of...doubt I would use it straight though.

I definately like Roll 20 as a player...I would need to practice some with the GM tools, as I haven't messed with those yet.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

The GM tools are simple. Need a map? Activate the map layer and drag it from your PC. Need a Token? Activate Token Layer and add from Roll 20 or PC.

Things get a little more complicated when getting the map scale right. Also the fog of war can be annoying on diagonal walls. Its free to tinker with so just take a look when you got time.

If you do play a homebrew theres alot of information in the GameMastery Guide. Also the NPC Codex was released recently and is extremely helpful in making your GMing life so much easier. I have bought both of these and have the PDFs if we need them.

So in short if you want to give it a go and its not on a Monday or Sunday night give me a shout. I will definately play.

Goblin Squad Member

Ok, give me a few weeks to get my life slightly more sane and I'll see if I can try to put something together for a Saturday or maybe Friday night.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

I am sure there would be enough interest for us to get a full group.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah. I am a little interested for saturday.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

I am already tossing round character Ideas. A Arcane Duelist Bard, a Dragon Disciple, and a Wild Caller Summoner/Synthesist. So far the Dragon is winning followed by Wildcaller then Bard.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

If I get the chance, I'd be looking to play a James Bond style magus. Dapper, cultured, friendly, and also remarkably deadly.

Goblin Squad Member

For myself. I have of dark character who have made a pact with a strange entity. All he wish is to take down those who called themself strong. In time, all those will become weak. The real power is in teamwork. (a witch male)

or a master of the wild, a protector of life. (druid)

or

a hunter of goblin and beast, devout of erastil (ranger)

or

a archer (fighter)

We have a fair bit of people going neutral-good including me but I expect there will be a lot more lawful players than chaotic characters I'm general if archetypes or abilities have alignment restrictions. Paladins and monks have to be lawful. Druids require you to be neutral on at least one axis, but does anything require you to be chaotic?

Nothing.

Andius wrote:

The Anti-Paladin and the Pyrokineticist prestige class from Dreamscarred Press are the only ones that come to mind.

Goblin Squad Member

I see no mention of the corvette here. WHY IS THERE NO MENTION OF IT?!

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

GL has Purchased a Idris Class Corvette in the Star Citizen Crowd Funding. This is a game we intend to make a branch into upon its release. Some other members bought personal ships but, we have pooled money to get a corvette that would allow a larger amount of members to gather upon. Not to mention that its a capital ship.

Information on Star Citizen can be found here.
https://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/

This game will come out an estimated 1 yr after PFO current projected release time so it will not interfere with out adventures in Golarion but, will serve as an Offical GL expansion into another game/genre.

Goblin Squad Member

We be flying in style, yo!

Hi Andius, can you PM me the GL Teamspeak info please? Thanks!

1000$ you are rich!

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Well to be fair it was funded by 4 people and Andius covered the biggest piece.

Goblin Squad Member

I'm slowly working on Campaign material but don't get too crazy on me guys...remember I'm relatively new to Pathfinder. I can't promise I'd accept anything outside of core classes and races....although I'd be willing to evaluate on an individual basis.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

The only one that might be a bit crazy is the summoner. The DD is almost all out of the core. The Bard is just a Combat Archetype. Not too flashy. But, ofcourse they would need the GMs approval. I have alot of character ideas.

Goblin Squad Member

I wasn't going to mention Star Citizen here since it will be released after PFO, and I don't want to distract attention from PFO on Paizo's own forums. But Yes GL will be playing on Star Citizen. Our Star Citizen division will run alongside PFO rather than replacing it. We expect some of you are fully committed to this game, and I have no desire to change that.

For those of you interested in both though, we intend to maintain a strong presence in each. These are two very different games and I believe that done properly, running both divisions side by side can enhance the experience of all GL members.

Given I have already mentioned Star Citizen here, I would like to add that I will be training anyone interested how to fight in a space sim. It will require the game Freelancer which can be purchased legally on Amazon for 10$. For those of you like me who like to do things legal. :P

Right now I am trying to find time on my schedule for a meeting on the implications of this announcement, redoing this topic, and discussing ways to advertise GL and make our Teamspeak, website, and art assets look more professional. Be thinking about what you want from our Teamspeak and website, and what you are able to contribute. One other project to keep in mind is a promotional trailer for GL.

http://www.baldursgate.com/ for details.

Anyone interested in teaming up for some friday/weeknight gaming? What do you guys think? Anyone want to venture to Baldur's gate with me next week?

Still here just checking in :)

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Cool stop by the TS if you are bored. I am staying in tonight. So far its been a little quiet.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Hey guys. hope everyone is getting a little excited.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Excited for the tech demo? Sure am.

Goblin Squad Member

Tech demo is best demo!

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

They said the Tech Demo should be out sometime in the next week on wednesday. Atleast what they were aiming for.

Howdy Skwiziks.

Also kinda shocked there won't be any others wanting to hit up Baldur's Gate with me. That game is a classic.

That offer open to non-Legionaires? Finally found time to pre-load it, can't wait for the 28th myself. Busy Friday's, though.

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Alright then Val. Thanks for the heads up. Have fun in Loiusville.

@Ironguard Probably but, that being said I would still have to give piroity to the Legionaires. So will have to see what happens. If i do go outside the guild it would probably be to our Ally's in the veil first.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Just backed the new Kickstarters at $100 -- 24th person to do so!

Silver Crusade Goblin Squad Member

Wish I could afford to do so. Best I could do is to get in for open enrollment. I just don't have the funds for the Early Enrollment.

Goblin Squad Member

Dotting this thread. Haven't decided on what sort of character I'll be making but out of the guilds posted up so far this one sounds the most like my personal play style (and with the Kickstarter now posted figured I should do some looking around).

Goblin Squad Member

37th here...so I'll see you in there Brax!
