A few ambiguities

Rules Questions

Sovereign Court

As I can't find any definite answers, and I prefer not to house-rule these, here goes:

1. How does damage reduction interact with incorporeality? i.e.: the Shadow Demon is an incorporeal monster that has DR10/cold iron or good.
Let's say Coop the fighter hits, and deals 26 damage with his non-good aligned, non-cold iron greatsword. The final damage is 3 or 8 (DR before or after half damage)?

2. As in point #1, the same damage issue versus the Sacred Shield's (UC paladin archetype) -Bastion- ability. How about elemental damage and target resistances?

3. Is there any official ruling on the (Sp) cleric domain powers and the eligibility for the 'Quicken SLA' feat?

4. Exactly how does one discover the powers of a (minor) artifact, preferably via spells? Excluding "I cast Wish/Miracle!". Since artifacts can't be identified, and leaving an "Instructions!" note for the players is not something I'd like to do. Is it even possible? I'm thinking... Legend Lore/Vision ?

that's from the top of my head, got some other topics, but I'm having a brain lapse right now...
Thanks in advance.

Halve the damage first then apply dr.

With the paly, again apply the modifier (half damage) and then apply dr.

Same with resistances.

None that I am aware of.

Same way normal items are sorted out, just with a much higher dc. (higher caster levels). Detect magic + a spellcraft check of 15+caster level of the item).

James Jacobs (Creative Director): "DR would be applied after the damage is halved."

I would assume it works the same.

If you mean something like an incorporeal creature with Resist Fire 10 getting hit by a fireball, I would probably rule it the same as DR, and half the damage first.

There's probably a rule for PFS, but otherwise, I think it's just whether the DM allows you to use monster feats. Be sure to check the requirements, as many of the domain powers will not apply if they're not duplicating a spell.

Detect Magic, three rounds, and a spellcraft check.

I can't find a rule that states this. The spells Identify and Analyze Dweomer don't function on artifacts, but I didn't find anything saying you can't otherwise identify it as normal.

Ah, I must be living under the 3.5e impression that artifacts can't be identified by any less-than-wish means. I missed the part that they have a CL, thus spellcraft...
Thanks.

L.E.: a DC 33-35 spellcraft check migh prove a bit overkill for a 9th-10th level group atm, but I'll figure something out.

well, 10 ranks +3 for class +5 int + skill focus (maybe) and a bard to help makes the DC not so hard to pass ;D
