Sidestep Secret-Should I drop Dex completely?

Advice

Planning an Oracle of Lore and I´m toying with the idea to start with
20Cha and 13Int all the other stats would be left at 10...including Dex.

Not sure if thats such a good idea though, no attack bonus,no initiative bonus.

Oppinions please.

10 Dex, with side step secret, is fine. 10 Con is not so much.

I will be doing this for my PFS Paladin (who will be taking a level of Oracle of Lore next level). I dumped his Dex to 7. It will work for him, 'cause he has a good Str and Cha, and a decent Con.

In your case, you will primarly be a spellcaster, and I can't think of many offensive spells that you could use at low levels. Command/Murderous Command?

One way to fix the initiative is to take Noble Scion feat. You can select the option to use Cha instead of Dex for initiative.

That's all I got.

18's and 20's are over rated, IMHO.

I would drop that score to at least get a better constitution score.
As for initiative it would depend if you plan on buffing, among other things in combat.

I really don´t have a problem with 10Con, I´ve played Monks with 10Con and I want this to be purely Casting based so I should be able to survive.
My main Problem is getting through the early levels without being completely useless once I run out of Spells.

I thought of taking Antagonize as a starting feat and either Thoughness or Improved Initiative but Noble Scion looks infinitely better(thanks for the heads up).

I did not even know about that feat. :)

I have a PFS lore oracle with sidestep secret and I started with a 7 dex and 20 charisma. Since it was a 20 point buy I was able to get 14 con and 12 int, str and wis both at 10 of course. I did take Noble Scion so most of the effects of having a 7 dexterity were negated though there are some problems. The grease spell generally renders me immobile, while I make the initial save to avoid falling down the DC 10 acrobatics check to move is often too risky to attempt. What I did to help mitigate difficult dex based skill checks was take the Seer archetype which gives me natural divination. Of course this meant I had to take the extra mystery feat for sidestep secret and I had to be human for the bonus feat.

At times I was less than amazing at low level and I spent a lot of time casting guidance. However the high DC's on my spells and having an extra 1st level spell more than made up for any deficiency in physical stats. As long as you don't mind being a pure spellcaster and having limited options before level 4 or so it is a very effective way to play an oracle. I usually have the best AC in the group, good saves and great initiative.
