Help with an alchemist thrower

Advice

ok my guys died so im thinking of makeing a lvl 4 goblin alchemist that is mainly throwing things bombs knives bottles anything can i get any help with this one?

Do you want to focus on dealing damage or giving debilitating effects to your opponents?

Either way, you should take Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Rapid Shot and Two-Weapon Fighting to maximize the utility of Rapid Bomb, a Discovery that you should take as soon as you reach level 8. Put all your ability points in Dexterity and Intelligence. You won't need Strength or Charisma, but you should keep a decent Constitution and Wisdom score.

Acid and holy water and alchemists fire will take you far.

i want to deal out damage. so should i use piosons on daggers?

Yep yep, Fast Bombs! :)

Only if you run out of bombs. Poison is more a debuffing tool than a damage dealing one.

The Explosive Bomb discovery is the one that will let you deal the greatest amount of damage in a single round with Fast Bombs. It's mainly because of the increased radius of Explosive Bombs. The Precise Bomb discovery is a must-have for any mad bomber build.

The problem with playing an alchemist thrower is your limited resources which begin to quickly run out with rapid shot (or TWF) haste and fast bombs. Bombing is a great build and your DPR with bombs can be down right sickening at times, but you need to have a backup weapon.

A buddy of mine played an Elven alchemist and so he had the good fortune of being able to use a longbow. You really don't want to pay a feat to get a better weapon so it looks like your stuck with simple weapons.

To which I would have to recommend alchemist fire, acid flasks and holy water, as pointed out by rkraus. Remember that you get to add your intelligence modifier on these rolls, but that is just about all you do get to roll so you really have to pump your Int. Use your formulae to boost your Int and your mutagen, but wait until after you have expended all of your bombs before you resort to that (or if the current enemy isn't worth a bomb).

As an alchemist you can nuke enemies, and nuke them hard, but whats important isn't how hard you can hit with your bombs, but rather how hard you can hit without them.

1st point blank
2nd level Precise bomb
3rd: precise shot
4th: Extra Discovery: Precise bomb

Simple - just take the Barbarian Hurler archetype and you can throw alchemists all day long!

You might try using the Focused Shot feat - it lets you add your Int bonus to damage rolls with bows or crossbows. However, it only works if the target is within 30 ft, and requires a standard action, so not great once you get to multiple attacks.

If you're really strapped for bombs, you can always spend a feat on Extra Bombs to get +2 bombs each day.

Really? Based off your previous sentences, it sounds like you really do want to spend a feat on a better weapon.

You could take the grenadier archtype from the pathfinder society field guide. Free martial weapon , free precise bombs and some nifty tricks. i think the only cost is poison use/ resistance

Having just played a PFS game with a bomber style alchemist I have to agree that it is powerful but please be careful, we almost had a tpk because the alchemist critically failed his attack roll which hit most of the party, then our only source of healing got one shotted by a sneak attack... then the alchemist missed an attack roll and it bounced in the middle of the party... this was the level one introduction session that is supposed to be very easy and it was 3 hit points between 2 characters away from tpk (5 character party)

That's hysterical!

It isn't a terrible idea, so I kinda did lead into it. However, the more I thought about it the more I realized that it just isn't worth it especially for a small sized creature.

hmm the grenadier seems fun
