I wonder if GW is stepping back from their recent practice of posting a placeholder several hours before the blog goes live? Or maybe they're still making last minute decisions about what goes into Alpha 8, and what doesn't quite make the cut.
Are you guys sure its a blog ? I thought they were just posting revised patch notes.
The new Quickstart Guide is already up.

Based on past experience, I would expect the new patch notes to be posted as a blog.
From another thread: Lisa Stevens wrote: celestialiar wrote: Caldeathe Baequiannia wrote: KoTC Edam Neadenil wrote: hmm well i still see the 7.1 download so far It's still 24 hours til the server goes online. I'd wait at least 20, probably 22 hours... radio silence. Surprised no blog either. Wasn't there supposed to be a kind of patch note blog or did I miss it? It is being written as I type this.

Agreed. I need to do the same (but I know I won't).

A post will show up here before it's on the blog.

I don't know, usually by now there is a "Keep your eyes here for the newest information on the newest upload" forum. Haven't seen one yet.
That is true Bunibuni and yet.... Click click click... Most of us gamers are too crazy to follow such plebeian logic!
I think they have a really long and sweaty boardmeeting right now....

Le sigh. Neuuuuuuuuews! NuuuuuuuOoOooows. I wants it.
Good to know. Thanks, Ryan.

With a heaping serving of nostalgia and a dash of melancholy, I deleted from my calendar the recurring appointment to check the blog every other Wednesday. I created it almost three years ago, and I've updated it a couple of times here and there, but it was an enduring highlight while I waited the long wait.
Now, instead of looking forward to the next blog post, I find myself looking forward to the next patch. That's an incredible feeling, especially when I let my mind wander back to when the blog posts were all we had.
Here's hoping that today's patch gets certified as suitable for Early Enrollment :)

I may have ran the Patcher just to see if anything new was in...may have. It's 1 degree F here today. It would be nice if a patch went out early so I could avoid any chance of productivity today.
I'll second the hopes of the next patch being EE worthy.

I'm pretty sure it won't go up until after server maintenance.
Not that that should be any sort of rational reason to keep from trying every 5 minutes or so.

Where is "here"? That sounds awful.
My "here" is Phoenix, AZ. We're currently in our short Not-Summer season, and it's 79F/26C outside.

I'm in Colorado. We're currently having fun with a little cold front from the north. I blame Canada.
Here in Sweden we having a unnaturally warm period, that means it is wet and dark and dreary. November is by far the worst month here...
Luxury! We dream of wet and dreary. For us, November is mostly Dry* and frigid and dark and dreary. And it isn't the worst. It will keep getting drier and more frigid until late January or mid February, after which it hardly ever drops to -40.
* Dry because the water falls as snow. Lots and lots of snow, but it's "dry" snow.
There is a reason almost all literature about meteorology is about the weather in US, you have all the intresting phenomena. Our weather is just some kind of watered down residuals....

I forget the name, but there was a book published within the last couple of years about tornados. An early section of the book described the shock and horror European colonists must have felt the first time a tornado hit their village. Hurricanes must have been rude surprises, too.
Come to New Zealand, our nice, temperate summer is just beginning. :)

It's still early, compared to the recent patch notes. I'm guessing it'll be a few more hours (or next week).
Right now, it's almost 11am server time.
A certain little birdy named Bob suggested that there will be no patch today. No patch generally means no patch notes.
But your vigilance does not go unnoticed!
No blog is scheduled for today.

But, for the sake of what little pride I still have, can we stop bumping this thread? It's embarrassing enough that it's here, much less at the top of the list.
Thanks :)

@Ryan,
Any information if the blogs will be going back to a every two weeks Wednesday schedule?
