Which Battle Caster class?

Advice

I want to play a battle caster, a fighter that can cast buffs, de-buffs and especially Control style specials.

What would you suggest as the best class:
Magus?
Battle Oracle?
Druid?
Cleric?
Inquisitor?
Bard?

If you can state what type (archetypes, domains, mysteries, etc) and why, I would greatly appreciate it.

Eldritch knight wizard.

wizard/EK works, as they get some of the best buffs and control spells in the game. short of that Druid is pretty good, particularly with a rime frostbite spell to up their damage per round and entangle and fatague with every hit while in wild shape. in the end it's all about how you want to play.

This is a character that I've been having fun with.

Lantern Lodge

If you want pure battlefield control, a Master Summoner wins hands down. You can throw pets around to give your allies flank, block enemies from charging and keep them away from you and fellow casters.
You won't be as tough as Oracles/Cleircs in terms of armor, but still get to wear light armor, making you about as tough as a Battle Bard.

Another option is Bard Cavalier Battle Herald. You can be a great buffer while still be pretty tough.

Finally look up the Cleric domains. There are a couple that give great buffs and debuffs. Clerics/Oracles can wear any armor and still get their spells out. Battle Mystery Oracles are more fighting focus, but still have access up to lv 9 spells, grab a race that gives you the option of more spells known for each level as a favored class.

Arcane duelist, hands down.

EK don't get armor, right?

Not on their own merits no. The four common methods of handling this are:

1. Still spell.
2. Arcane armor training/mastery (personally I don't recommend this one).
3. Choosing a casting class that can wear armor (bard, magus, druid, oracle, summoner, etc).
4. Empyreal Sorcerer/Sohei Monk (wisdom to both casting and AC).
