If you're still sharing that template, I wouldn't mind a copy! :)
I'd like to fiddle around with the Word template (Will that work with Open Office?)

What size are the boxes?
How do they compare with, say a VHS case?
ME too -- Word, preferably but either way
If the template is still floating out there I wouldn't mind a copy...Rhonin84 at gmail dot.

According to Amazon , Product Dimensions: 7.8 x 5.5 x 1.8 inches ; 1.5 pounds.
These look very nice indeed. Please could I trouble you for the templates as well. I have a couple of these cases lying around in the house somewhere.
Many thanks in advance!
I would like a copy of the template as well.
Awesome idea! Please email me the template. einor at yahoo dot com
Alright, I'm going to find a webhost and post them soon. Stay tuned.
Astral, might I bother you for a copy in word as well? This is an awesome idea! Thank you so much for being willing to share!

I think you just invented a new product.
If you see this before you find a host for it, send along the Word file to: vikingirishman (at) hotmail (dot) com.
I have a few of these boxes still lying around and man, what a fantastic idea!
If you're still sending them out to people: sorrit (at) gmail (dot) com. Definitely going to borrow your idea here.

I'd like the file, too, Astral.
Way to go!
I have registered to the paizo messageboards specifically for this, because it is pretty awesome!
Will be watching for when you get it hosted (if you want to use my web hosting space do let me know!)

Ok, I've changed the file a little, to include the Community Usage verbage. =)
The file is temporarily hosted here:
Pathfinder Character Box
That's in Word 2007 format.
well. there goes my weekend.
Thank you so much for sharing both the idea (and images of the finished result) and that template. Gonna have to track down some of those boxes now.

If you guys come up with some easy ways to track down character art on a clear background, please share. I'd love some good Bard of Sorcerer images.

I'd love some good Bard of Sorcerer images. actually I found GIMP (which is free) and .PNG artwork the simplest way of doing it (just did it last night with a picture for my paladin):
http://geekswithblogs.net/timh/archive/2006/03/20/72797.aspx is the link :) although it really helps if they are on a white background/black background! Luckily the picture I chose was on a white background and it just worked for me.
Little known fact. You can set transparency within an image in Word itself. No need to mess around with another program.
This only works if the background is a single color though. If it's all white, black, etc....
Insert the image, then in the Format ribbon, click Recolor, Set Transparency, then click the color in the image itself.
If the background is complex...You're going to have to mess with GIMP, Photoshop, even MSPaint would work.
That is such a great idea! When I get the rest of my creative projects in order (hopefully someday) I will have to try my hand at one of these.
Thanks for sharing with us =D
I'm a professional graphic designer and I don't have a copy of word, so I made my own base-template for people who are like me and want to make their own designs in CS4 without using Word. You can download the Photoshop template here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17516302/WoWTCG_Template.psd
It contains the base size with 1/4" bleeds on all sides and crop marks (they're slightly hidden under the guides on their own locked layer.) I couldn't find a good high quality Pathfinder logo, but there are two in the file that might work (if you find a better version feel free to post it.) The file is 300 dpi, so remember to drop it down to 150 or so before printing. Have fun!
Sorry 'bout the borderline necromancy, just wanted to weigh in and say that this looks completely awesome. Will definitely do something like this if I manage to get hold of some boxes...
Hello - Sorry for the thread necromancy! Does anyone still have a copy of this template? I would love a copy!
Thank you.
Hey I just picked up some of these boxes, anyone around who can send me the file at Grinning_demon AT Hotmail.com
The link to the file OP uploaded and the psd file that some one uploaded to dropbox both appear to be down; we would much appreciate if some one could put them up again or send them to us as well.

I'll add another request to that pile, if that's ok! I'm trying to make a template myself, but I'm not particularly proficient with this sort of thing.
If there are any more templates being sent out, one going to bendclayton(@)gmail(.)com would be great, thanks!
I hate to necro this thread, but if someone can send me the templated I'd be extremely grateful!

As someone above said - sorry for the thread necromancy here.
Is there any way to buy just the box? I'm not interested in the card game.
