Thanks!
Just because I want to find a way to summon my own crystal chakrams and take Improved Critical on them just to have a 15-20 x2 ranged weapon and Impacting Critical doesn't mean I want to break the game...
too badly.

As Per UC pg 242
Returning Weapon
School conjuration (teleportation); Level bard 2, cleric 2,
inquisitor 1, magus 1, ranger 1, sorcerer/wizard 2, witch 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target one weapon that can be thrown
Duration 1 minute/level
Saving Throw Will negates (harmless,
object); Spell Resistance yes (harmless,
object)
For the duration of the spell, the
target weapon acts as if it had the
returning weapon special ability (see
page 471 of the Core Rulebook).
This spell can be used as the
prerequisite for the returning weapon
special ability.

Wait. How are you getting a threat range on a thrown weapon?

Taking the feats Well Prepared and Quick Draw could allow you to draw one (per day) out of thin air.
The Quick Draw feat will let you draw them as a free action if you can store them on your body.
The Mending cantrip might be able to fix them (the make whole 2nd level spell, much slower of course, if not).
Tough Question!

STR Ranger |

I went through a similar idea on the ranger optimisation thread (using mundane chakrams)
best solution I could find was an efficient quiver (but they are innapropriate size.) They are however light in terms of weight so quickdraw is all you need to 'pull them out of thin air'.
This synerguises best with a Two Weapon Warrior. Use Quickdraw and TWF to throw/full attack and then switch to melee when the bad guys close.
You'd get full 'two weapon training and duelist gloves, so that helps with them being non-magical. Deadly aim and Two Weapon Rend would also apply.
Crystal Chakrams are better for the threat range, but you need a way to mend them...

Dragonsong wrote:Cheapy not sure where those weapons came from but could you use the Iron Weapon oracle of metal mystery to produce them?Looks like can't be made with the iron oracle :(
Using Iron Weapon is a standard action anyway. It doesn't say what sort of action it is, so, based on the description of Revelations in the APG, it defaults to a standard action.
