I noticed that a lot of the NPC allies in Brinewall Legacy lean towards the CG alignment, and was wondering if that was going to be a plot element. In particular, are lawful PCs supposed to common into their own once the AP gets to Tian Xia?
Suishen sounds like it will allow some DM flexibility, but what are the main powers of this weapon?

While I doubt many people will be able to give you any information on Suishen until next month's instalment is released, it's my observation that Varisians by their nature tend towards Chaos more than Law. So do elves. Sandru and Koya are Varisian, and Shalelu is an elf. Then Ameiko's role practically requires that she be Chaotic.
As for the other NPCs that you might be speaking about, one is restricted by its race and the other is CN.
If you asked me, I would probably say that the significant number of Chaotic Good NPCs has more to do with James' preferences and predilections than any master plan based around alignment, but I have been known to be wrong before.
