I did City of Strangers P2 five times last year. I liked it, then hated it, and then loved it by the end of the convention. Hopefully the same will happen to you on Saturday afternoon. Of course Shades of Ice P1 is no where near as fun as City of Strangers P2...

My GM Schedule:
Thursday 8:00 am: #2-16: The Flesh Collector (7-11). Uses City Streets Flip Mat -- Got it!
Saturday 8:00 am: #3-02: Sewer Dragons of Absalom (3 - 7). Flip Mat ???
Saturday 1:00 pm: #2-25: You Only Die Twice (5 - 9). Flip Mat ???
Sunday 8:00 am: #2-25: You Only Die Twice (5 - 9).
Cpt_kirstov's Flip Mat page has only been updated to 2-22.
The Flesh Collector currently seems to be the least popular adventure, only about half of it's tickets are sold. Compared to almost all tickets for all the rest of the adventures are sold. I ready to switch into a game Thursday morning and open up a more popular slot to be a GM on call as needed.
To get ready to run the adventures, I'm using lots of advice posted by the like of Kyle, DougDoug, Thea, and Bob. Also been following the 'noisy room' thread. If there's not a Flip Mat available I'll see if I can't wrangle Kyle or DougDoug's to use one of their great maps :-) (hint, hint)

It's not FOR me... It's for players who want to cherry pick the good GM's (like Todd and Neil) and avoid GM's like you. :D
Though not impossible, it is much harder to pick what GMs table you sit at Gen Con

Not to mention trying to swap tickets at this point to change judges.
*I was going to add in a Thea joke here but I just didn't have the heart. I guess I like that little gnome a bit too much.

Shades I is definitely not as fun as City II. Oh well. Time to study up on Shades...

Sewer Dragons of Absalom (3 - 7). Flip Mat ???
You Only Die Twice (5 - 9). Flip Mat ???
Sewer Dragons is not released yet, so not sure about that one. But since it sounds like it could occur in the sewers, there is a Sewer Map Pack.
Die Twice uses Paizo maps...

For existing scenarios, early next week. For Season 3 scenarios it'll be by no later than July 29th.
When am I getting my Super Secret Scenario designed to specifically Kill all of Kyle's Characters?

Wow, we changed the special's title from From Ashes of Iron months ago. Anyone confused by the legacy name showing up in your schedule should know that you will be running Blood Under Absalom instead.
Well that would explain why none of my searches to find out a little more about the special did not turn anything up. Good to know.
Seems I'm going to be spending a lot of time GMing under Absalom at Gen Con. PFS takes us to such nice places.

on the tiny chance that i show for this con after everything is sold out lke i did with origns. do y`all think the origins attendance will boost the space and judge pool maid availble at gencon to pfs?
The PFS commitment for Gen Con is already 4 TIMES greater than what ended up running at Origins, and is almost sold out.
That said, if you show up early with a generic, there is a chance that you may get into something, especially in an 8 am slot.

I have no knowledge of Paizo ever turning away a player unless they turn up very late. How do you think GenCon got the reputation for table size of 7?

In the past, they have done a fine job of accomodating as many players as possible.
However, based on the continued increase in popularity, there will come a time where the demand cannot be met. With 45 tables, even if you seat a 7th at every table it would not deal with some of the lines we saw last year. And while I know that there a few available GMs out there, I don't know where more tables will come from.Thea Peters |

I'd be ok with running a game in the hall or something if people don't mind making comfy on the floor if it truely came down to that

Anyone's Schedule change with Liz's last email of the schedule? Mine didn't.
A cool thing of note, I will be getting my 3rd star at Gen Con.
Mark Moreland Director of Brand Strategy |
We will have space for 30 players each hour to run delve events to preview Pathfinder, use their PFS character in a non-ticketed event, and have a chance to win great prizes, so if you don't have a ticket to a particular slot and can't get into a full scenario with generic tickets, you will likely be able to find a spot among the 150 open seats during the 5-hour slot to play something.
Steel_Wind |
Dragonmoon -- nice on the 3rd star!
My schedule is light this year and I'm not doing the Tier 1 thing and am instead extremely busy with podcasting seminars and the Ennies.
I will be doing my damndest to get at least one (and often two) field recorders and every Paizo seminar we can possibly manage to cover. Sometimes those of us who regularly attend Gencon forget how many people would lke to come to Gencon and just can't for financial, family, work or other reasons. The chance for those people who can't make it to listen to the seminars presented at Gencon via the podcast a few days later is greatly appreciated. While 75 or less typically attend most of the Paizo seminars, literally THOUSANDS of Paizo fans and customers download the seminar podcasts. Our in-box got flooded with thanks-yous last year for our carrying a relatively slim number of the seminars from Gencon 2010. As a consequence, the podcast's populariy really took off after Gencon last year, too.
So we will be trying to cover as many seminars this year as we possibly can -- preferably, all of them.
We all do our bit in different ways, as it were :) The podcast provides a medium to turn a modestly attended event into something which, in fact, reaches a comparatively HUGE audience.

Mine did. The PFS Classic and the Delve were swapped out with extra DMings of 3-03 and 2-20.
I'm 3 games away from my 3rd star so will easily get it at Gencon as I am running 8 games.

Just a note that we'll be awarding GM credit for a full slot's worth of delve tables. You can spread those over the full 4 days as needed. Email Liz if you want to try to get more slots under your belt.
