Currently not planning any PrC, but it's always a possibility. Would consider Horizon Walker or multiclassing if circumstances arose for it.
I will write in a SOP on Kyra's profile in case someone will need to post for me.
Erefine, I was looking at your new recruitment listing and you mentioned 28 pointbuy. Was just curious if you had meant to increase it from the 20 you had us do originally.
You are right...I meant for it to be the same, but between this and the other campaign I DM I couldn't remember which one had the 20 point buy. Thanks for the catch!

Once the last bandit has been finished off Tandor comes running forward to all of you.
"This do be bad news indeed. Even worse if they have found a way down to my stockrooms here then the town watch will as well and should they find these dead men twill be the death of me...literally. They would execute me without even a trial."
Tandor begins pacing..."Oh what to do..."

As the last bandit is taken out of action, Gwenola shoulders her lance and climbs down the stairs towards the fighting men.
"You must be the ones I've been sent to find, I'm Gwenola Gralfen." she says with her best smile. As she comes closer, you see she is a young woman barely out of her teens. Contrary to most red-haired people, her skin is not pale white but has a golden tone, accentuated by some nearly invisible flames that run over it for an instant before disappearing.
Stopping within reach, her voice suddenly takes on a more sibilant accent:
If no one seems to understand, she'll come back to common and repeat herself.
Noticing the Innkeeper monologue at the last moment, she shrugs and adds: "I would suggest burning them, but I'm not sure it is a good idea right here"
Kyras Acaman |
Did we ever decide who was carrying the medallion? If no one else wanted it, Kyras would volunteer to carry it.
"Thank you for your help, Gwenola, Master Dwarf" Nodding in thanks to each of them in turn as he speaks.
"Master Tandor, do you know these men? Are they part of the watch then?
Erefine |
You had decided that Zan should carry it before he disappeared from the game, so for the moment nobody has it.
Sungalu realizing what Gwen said replies:
Tandor still pacing replies to both Heshlem and Gwen:
"You see Kalu be a fickle town to be sure. If the town watch come across a dead body and have reason to believe you be the one who done it...well they enact martial law and kill you on the spot. The king here be an odd fellow that is for sure. Now as for burning them, we would have to get them outside the city and hope to God the watch don't spot us with a cart 'o dead people."

The town guard is judge, jury, and executioner, what a scary thought. I will also hazard a guess that with such power many of them live outside what their normal salaries pay them. I guess it is time to be going now, not just because of recent events, but if self-defense is illegal this is not the place for me.
"They had to sneak in here from somewhere. Why not dump them outside, most likely in an alley? You(Tandor) have no blood on your hands or weapons to use, and there is no way one man can take on so many people. We plan to be out of town. I would suggest scrubbing whatever blood is here off the floor though, before it sets in."
If there is not an alley then ...uh....
Muugru |
Eyeing the dwarf and the young human woman suspiciously, Muugru moves beside Heshlem, preparing to strike either of them if they make any unexpected sudden moves.
Muugru looks down at the unconscious bandit leader, and looks to Heshlem. "What we do with him?"
As people talk of burning or blowing up the corpses, "Thems have any good loot on them?". Muugru glances towards the corpses, anxious to examine them, however he remains by Heshlem's side.
Map looks better. Now I know where I can charge to, and where I can go to, to get flank bonus :)
Gwenola Gralfen |
"Why would they arrest you because you had bandits invade your place?"
He then focuses on the young lady. "Could you say that again in common or orc?"
Gwenola smiles with an apologetic look, quickly replaced with an expression of excitement:
"I'm sorry, I'm new to this trade. Wow, I'm on a real mission with bandits and fights and all that!"She is nearly jumping up and down with glee.
"Would you believe this was my first real fight. Well, Dad trained me but these were always mock fights. And there were these bandits on the road but they fled when I burned them with fire. So, did I do right? I was afraid I would burn everything down in the beginning."
Realizing she is babbling in from of near-strangers, she puts her hand on her mouth and tries to adopt a more serene attitude.
"Oups, sorry, I did not answer your question. I was contacted by the Dragon about fetching him an egg and wanted to know the level of information you had. Oh, and can you tell me your names. And I think this is a good idea to search them first and maybe question them. I can be very mean if you want. It always worked on the boys when they were up to something..." She catches herself and stops for half a second. "Sorry, babbling again..."
Gwenola will look through the bandits belonging, using detect magic and putting aside everything she thinks of value.

"Good question, I think we should check before we blow them up. You check some and I will check the rest."
perception check for any hidden items:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Kyras Acaman |
"Nice to, ~ahem~ meet you. I'm Ricdak, and I was sent a vision by the Balancer, if you know what I be meaning. I was sent to help you with your quest."
Some babbling, good stuff then back to the babbling. :)
Are we running it then that our former members are still up in the inn and have the medallion and rings or that they took them with them when they left?
"You're right names would be good. I am Kyras Acaman." Indicating each in turn he introduces the others. "The big lug there is Muugru. Then we have Sungalu and Tandor. Again thank you for your help."
Looking back over at Tandor, "The passage isn't connected to your inn, so you should be ok right? If we would be killed for defending ourselves, I think we should leave as soon as possible, and hide as much sign of our presence as we can. Enough eyes have seen us as is." Looking down at their attackers, "We think any of them are still alive?"
"Let me get my arrows out of this one real quick. One less thing for them to follow."
Recovering arrows: 1d100 ⇒ 32, 1d100 ⇒ 18
Kyras will take the fletching and arrow heads with him even if they are broken.
If Gwenola shows him the note: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Heshlem |
"Well that be the problem you see the far part of this passage is right under my kitchen, so me thinks an explosion would not be the best idea. However I agree that enough eyes have seen us and should someones eyes not see these men come out it could spell trouble."
I don't know how many of them there are compared to us there are enough.
"Is anyone here good at disguising people? Maybe we can walk out pretending to be them?"Gwenola Gralfen |
Looking at Gwenola and Ricdak "How did you two find your way back here? There is always the chance the entrance isn't watched right?"[b]
[b]"Disguising people? Give me the woods and we could be hidden. Here? I'm not sure, draw up our hoods, maybe?"
"Well, we asked for you at the inn and one of the maid told us you were gone through a back alley. Then we heard the start of the fight. For the rest, we could try to carry them away between us, pretending they are drunk and dump them in another street."
Kyras Acaman |
"As good a plan as any, I suppose but how we gonna cover up their wounds Mugruu and Sungalo teared those two up pretty well?" Pausing a moment, "One of us might want to go take a peak see if it's clear."
Unless someone tells him to wait Kyras will move toward entrance and take a look to see if anyone is nearby. Will try to remain hidden as well if possible.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Gwenola Gralfen |
When Kyras comes back, Gwenola turns to the Innkeeper and with her usual style tries to plan for the dumping of the bandits' corpses:
"Do you know of any place close to here that we could use to get rid of the corpses? Then we'll better come back and interrogate the surviving guy. And do you have any alcohol we could use to make them at least smell like they are drunk? And we need rope to bind the survivor and gag him if he wakes while we're gone."
Kyras Acaman |
What was it updated to?

Taking a quick look through his pack Kyras looks surprised. "Apparently I didn't pack any rope. How stupid is that? I wonder what else I forgot in my rush after them."

"There may be some over there, in the caves you were in. While you go there, can someone look for anything with alcohol in.”

Gwenola takes one bandit under his armpit and carries him as she would do with a drunked man.
"Now, Innkeeper, point us to a dead end alley where we can dump these.
