Muugru's life has been a life of misfortune. Born into the Rotten Tongue orc tribe, Muugru's life was very harsh. Being a half-orc, he was always deemed to have limited use. Orcs constantly abused him, which helped to develop his keen hiding ability.
In the few battles he was allowed to fight in, he was never deemed worthy enough to fight side-by-side the warriors of the tribe, so he was forced to learn how to use a bow -- something he found quite easy to learn.
Muugru was forced to leave the lands of the Rotten Tongues, when he was on patrol with a warband. The patrol had sent him out to hunt meat for them. When he returned he found that their camp had been overrun by goblins. Although his tribe-mates cut down 2 goblins for every orc slain, it was apparent that they were grossly outnumbered. Muugru knew that to follow the tracks would only be suicide. Sadly, a half-orc returning to the tribe to report of his patrol's demise was also suicide.
Muugru left the orc lands as an outcast and after many weeks he encountered a caravan. The caravan master quickly noted how dim-witted the half-orc was, and hired him on for a small fraction of what he would normally pay.
Muugru greatly liked the job and began to learn the common tongue. Just when Muugru was beginning to feel like he had place to call home, misfortune struck again.
While traveling, the caravan was ambushed by goblins. Muugru killed many that day, but alas he succumbed to the vast numbers that flooded down upon the caravan.
Muugru's next memory was waking up in the back of a wagon and look up at a half-elf woman. She introduced herself as Shalelu. She said that she found him lying near dead in the road. Shalelu had noticed the significant amount of goblins with Muugru's arrows burried into them, so she knew he must be a great warrior.
Shalelu helped heal Muugru and took him to Sandpoint and introduced him to the temple of Sarenrae. Muugru had never been in a human town before and felt very out of place. The temple did their best to help teach him how to exist in an urban area. Muugru tried his best, but alas his keen survival instincts seem to confuse him -- especially when food is involved. It was so much easier to just take things from the weak, rather than to use money.
Muugru's latest caper involving some meat pies cooling on a window sill, which ended up in a confrontation with the city guard. Muugru knocked one guard unconscious and ran from the remaining. Muugru sought out help from the temple, but they suggested he should consider leaving town as he really did not fit in well. They gave him a robe and basic gear that he could disguise himself with, and sent him on his way.
Muugru is now considering how best to equip himself for departing town. Muugru has little money and he does not want to bring more attention to himself. Muugru is laying low in the city, trying to decide which city gate would be his best escape route. Muugru will also seek out Shalelu to thank her again for saving him and will pledge his services should she ever need them.
