Gaseous Form and Poison

Rules Questions

If you are poisoned and then you become immune to poison by drinking a potion of gaseous form, what happens?

I assume you'd stop taking poison damage at that point. What happens to the poison duration? Does it become suspended, keep counting down each round, or are you free of it immediately?

Do you get to keep making Fort saves to try to beat the poison while in this form if the poison remains, even though you (presumably) don't take damage from failed saves?

I would say that it is suspended. When you go gaseous, so does all your equipment and gear. When you reform those things reform with you. So the poison turns gaseous (becoming worthless) and then when the spell ends it turns back into poison and starts ticking again. Fortitude saves are suspended until the poison starts working again.

You could argue that immunity just kills the poison but I think that is just to poison attacks i.e. they can't add more poison to your gaseous form.
