Cleric / Oracle of Battles

Advice

Would it be better to use a falcata and shield, elven curved blade or some other weapon? Aiming for a front line combatant/caster.

Don't you need both hands free to cast spells?

Silver Crusade

You just need one hand free, but most clerics buff, then draw their weapon before wading into combat.

I'd go with your deity's favoured weapon, though. Whatever that is.

Silver Crusade

Cleric = more up front damage. Only a few fights and he is out of abilitys and spells.
Oracle = more staying power. 1-3 fighters after the cleric is out the oracle is still going strong.

There both good. I like the oracle better if your in a melee focused group. Cleric if your in a casting group.

Weapon and shield if you have a caster group.
Reach weapon if you have a melee group. Reach weapon will alow you to fight with the group. And support the group with spells as needed. With out needing concentration checks.

If your going to spend a feet on a exotic weapon as a oracle of battle. Make sure it hase the trip ability. So Khopehs is better then Falcata. With manuver mastery and a trip weapon your average Trip CMB should be close to 20 at level 7.

Does a light shield inhibit casting and can't a caster take a hand off a 2 gander to cast as a free action?
