Sclivian Ruttle |
I got really nervous about my play in the surprise round... but realized that no matter what, Sclivian's taking the long view of the combat. No dropping extra fighters on the field quite yet, let's start with a little confusion.

Although if Pollux gets summon swarm off that is going to create havoc. I hate swarms. That will definitely provide a distraction. Hopefully he gets to finish the spell before he gets taken out and needs a concentration check.

So here we have a classic religious conflict here. An inquisitor of Milani thinks that a dozen children should starve rather than sacrifice one to a petty noble's entertainment. The abadarian priest however finds that a horrifying proposal, needs for the greater community and all.
And somewhere, somehow, I keep thinking that Pollux's solution would be to eat the children, and possibly the rich.

No no no. The poor are all tough and stringy. Do you have any idea how long you would have to slow-cook these kids? Golden boy however is a horse of a different color. Lean yes, but with good marbling. You gould serve him tartar and get no complaints.

I love swarms, and the bats have a 40'fly and cause bleed. They should cover our exit.

I'm thinking Caldazar may have had a slight Moral Horizon Aneurysm during his previous argument with dear Arael.... or perhaps it's Merax's effect on him.
Either way he has decided to dive from the 10m board into the deep end hasn't he?
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Tal would beg to differ on that proposal. Anyone who needs to carry that large of an axe is compensating for something.
Tal Bernard Mainz |
And so the Nobles group finally entered book 2.
and I have almost died twice. Hopefully we can reduce that number this time around. Of course that is where the front line fighter type usually ends up.

Third times the charm Tal! Keep trying and I know you will succeed. We have faith in you!
Tal Bernard Mainz |
Don't worry Castor I will bring others with me if I do. You all have the 5000gp in diamond dust to resurrect me don't you? Maybe Arael does.
Hu5tru |
oh man, why was the first thing to come to mind when I read your post the organ riff opening at the beginning of the "Veterinarian hospital" sketches on the original Muppet Show?
"The continuing Stooooooory of a quack..."
oh, that's right, I was thinking of some obscene love quadrangle with bloodless, asmodia, shade and that actress lady. hahaha.

Tark: Do we start a new month of expenses with the start of the book or are we assuming that it is included thus far?
LeVash |
Some questions about the play. Would you prefer we post in order (i.e. should I wait until "Dentris", "Tybain" and "Krona" have spoken before posting?)
If so, and we post in more than once in an Act, should we make a sepatate Acting roll for each?
Finally, do we get any bonus for a hugely successful dress rehearsal?

Caldazar still holds a torch for that time in the sewers where you made for him a gift of a silver necklace...
TarkXT |
Don't feel bad. There were two females in the rebels group and it still ended up being a barbarian in drag.
Meraxilar made some ridiculously good rolls he really could fit into alot of different parts. We'll see how Pollux and Sclivian do.
Also the Clivian talking the bucket out of hitting him crack was great. I can already see it.
"Sir, if you may hold for a second I am legally required to inform you that any harm upon my person, lethal or otherwise, opens your person up to any number of legal ramifications as is my right under Asmodean Code 101.a.4b. Your soul may be consigned to a period of service on any one of the nine layers as per the contract as is the choice of my employers. I believe they typically choose between the classical Carrion Bird and Regenerating liver clause but just as often try the smelted gold poured down the throat torment. I advise you to cease and desist your action lest the full power of these contracts become invoked and undue harm come upon your eternal soul, and those of your firstborn children."

Perfect!

I am hoping that Pollux knocks the paladin roll right off the chart as then we would have a Rovagug Larazod with a cross dressing Milani Krona, Sclivian as the scholar, Tal as the torturer, and Pollux as a paladin. The only way it could get worse is if Sclivian and Tal switch roles.
Actually a cross dressing priest of Rovagug would be comical too, but I like him as the lead for now.
Tal Bernard Mainz |
That is definitely going to make this interesting. Everyone has a couple of choices but for Tal. The only part he did well was the bucket test. Unless Tark let's him use his tower shield antics to just absorb all the hits, but that wouldn't really present well to an audience...hiding during the entire play.
Caldazar |
Just because:
Lazarod: Tal: 8 Mer: 20 Cal: 18 Sci: 13 Pol: 20
Dentris: Tal: 13 Mer: 22 Cal: 12 Sci: 25 Pol: 28
Tybain: Tal: 15 Mer: 21 Cal: 23 Sci: 9 Pol: 20
Drovalid: Tal: 23 Mer: 20 Cal: 14 Sci: 20 Pol: 6
Krona: Tal: 3 Mer: 17 Cal: 28 Sci: 16 Pol: 4
Pollux and Merax tied for lead.
Pollux edges out Scliv at the moment for Dentris, but Scliv might still get it if Pollux gets another role.
Tybain is a difficult one - I've the highest roll, but I think I've sealed my fate with the Intimidate roll. Could go to either Merax or Pollux.
I think Tal's got Drovalid locked down as well.
Unfortunately looks like I'm a lock for being in drag... it's ok, not the first time in my life.
