So, I have to head out of town for two months in the summer. My gaming group still wants me to run the Pathfinder campaign, but over Skype or online. I have limited space/weight in my luggage, so I was wondering if it was possible for me to run my campaign from far away using just my Hero Lab software and the information on the PRD webpage. What do you think?

There's always TTopRPG if you want to try your hand at a virtual tabletop. Excellent for... well... pretty much everything. The only thing it doesn't include is voice chat, but you can handle that via Skype.

I'm asking mostly about being able to run Pathfinder without my physical books, which weight a lot. Is there enough info in the PRD and Hero Lab to do this? My initial impression is yes, but I want to be sure.
since you already own the books you should be able to get the PDF versions and just carry all your books on a thumbdrive.

There definitely is, especially if you get the beastiary packs for Hero Lab. Finding things on the fly in the PRD can be a little tricky but you can always just google it.

I think you only get the pdf's for free if you are a subscriber.
This is correct—free PDFs only come with the book if you subscribe to the appropriate line.

We've had a player Skype in a couple of times. Make sure you've got decent computers on both ends and also good connections. And make sure Skype is all your doing, don't share your bandwidth with Netflix. :)
