Dear Merisel Sillvari:
I am a well-established and distinguished dragon who has accumulated a moderately large hoard through trial, pain, effort, and great struggle on my behalf. Unfortunately, I find that no sooner have I established this hoard than pesky humanoid "adventurers" seek to steal it and slay me!
Even worse, I have a terrible infestation of duergar in my home, and the tunnels they dig are too small for me to enter, unless I alter my form to that of a man.
Anyway, to make a long story short, I need to leave my lair for a little while. Not long, really, just a few months. But I'm afraid that if I turn my back for even a day, those duergar and nasty little adventurers will steal my entire hoard! I'd come back to see my beautiful mansion vandalized, emptied, and probably collapsed just out of spite.
Could I please pay you to live inside my mansion filled with gold and stab things (that aren't me) with as many sharp, pointy knives as you can when they try to enter? It'll only be for a little while, I promise, and I'll come back as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Lyrax the Bronze

Which of these scenarios would scare you the most?
'Waking up' to find you've been used as parts for a Flesh Golem?
Being hunted down by a creature (Dragon, Humanoid, Outsider etc) that has developed an obsessive desire to possess your love, even if it has to kill everything around you to get it?
Regaining consciousness to find yourself chained to Valeros with an adamantine manacle that has been wrapped around a pillar in a room that is slowly filling with water and a rusty iron saw is in Valeros's hand...
Being reincarnated as another race or species?
Being hunted by the Red Mantis Assassin Cult?
Finding out that one of your adventuring companions could be a doppleganger ... and you're all trapped in a sealed chamber with a single torch that is slowly going out ...
Waking up in the experiment chamber of a mad Wizard and seeing one of his helpers with a wheelbarrow, containing some shapely elven legs and the head of some monstrous beast ... and you can't feel anything from the waist down...
Scratching at an itch on your shoulder, and then seeing there is an eye blinking at you from the irritated flesh when you pull aside your clothing to see what is causing the itching?
Having a massive, corpulent Ogre who smells like he hasn't bathed since it last rained comment "Your mouth be puuuurdy....." as he's grappling you?
After fiddling with a magical artefact, coming back to town and finding nothing but empty buildings filled with cobwebs and dust that looks like it's been there for centuries?
Finding a botfly bite on a delicate part of your anatomy?
Kender pouring into Golarion through a malfunctioning Elf Gate?
Learning Kyonin has passed a law that states all adventuring Elves must wear green tunics and caps, wield longswords, shields, longbows, boomerangs and bombs, have a horse called Epona and change their names to Link .... enforceable by being locked in a cave full of albino Ghost Bats.
Being bitten by a natural Were-Bat?
Having every other member of the Iconics be infected with lycanthropy and becoming Were-bats?
Finding out you're actually a Valley Elf?
Learning Lamashu has developed an interest in Half-Elf Half-Beasts, and you're number one on her experimentation list.
Long posts.

Do you find it flattering or creepy that a picture of you is the first thing I see when I turn the computer on in the morning?
If your curious the picture is the cover of the latest AP where your have that tentacle wrapped around your ankle and your getting ready to stab it. You look good flying through the air with daggers in your hand...though your face does look kind of manish.

Have you ever considered telling your party members a trap had been disabled when it really wasn't because they refused to give you your fair share of the loot you'd found?
What trap would you be your favorite for that sort of thing?
Nope, because they're my buddies and friends. Why would I do something to hurt them? They helped me get to the trap in the first place, after all. They deserve treasure too.

Not sure what treasure you're talking about. The cave's empty.
(passes 20% finder's fee to duergar what let me in the back door to loot the treasure room)

Flattering, of course!

have you ever adventured with only the other martial iconics (Valeros, Amiri, ect)? if so how did it go? what did you do for healing? did Kyra almost faint when you came back?
I can see this being a problem. 'Just a scratch' for Valeros and Amiri is 'Oh my GODDESS get me to a Healer!' for Merisiel....
Merisiel Sillvari |
Which creature/item would you prefer to use as a mode of long-distance transportation?
The baby Dragon you've taken in as a minion?
Half-Celestial Unicorn?
Lini in Wildshape Form?
Magic Carpet?
Other?
Baby dragons are too little. A grown up dragon would be cool. I strongly doubt I'd be able to get within ANY unicorn's line of sight without it running in terror, though.

Turns out that you just have to change your tactics when there's no spellcasters around. It's best to be all sneaky. And when you have those incapable of such like Valeros and Amiri, it's best to let them keep the enemy's attention while you use lots of Spring Attacks.

As far as a character concept goes, what do you think about an Elf bard who uses her singing to entertain and or heal the party and a whip in combat to knock the enemy prone and then set op AOO's for her party members?
If by "character concept" you mean "job," that sounds like a fine job to me.
It's a really weird way to phrase it, though.

Merisiel:
I am hungry. Specifically, I want bacon. As I am stuck at work, would you be kind enough to go and get me some bacon? Of course I will pay you back, and am happy to include a little something extra for your time.
Gross. No thanks. I don't touch bacon. It's nasty.
Also, I'm too high level to do food gathering quests.

Dang. Can you think of one of the other iconics who might be willing to acquire some bacon for me?

Are you a Vegetarian?
You seem to have the same reaction to most meat products which makes sense when you look at the stunning figure your able to maintain.
Being that adventurers need a high calorie diet to keep up the arduous tasks they are required to do, what foods do you eat to make sure your meeting your caloric intake?

I'm not a vegetarian. I just don't particularly like greasy food or food that you can see glistening chunks of slimy looking fat.
I much prefer fruit, seafood, poultry, grains, and anything with caffeine or sugar in it.

Trawling through your thread, I can't seem to find this question, so I'll ask it myself:
When you're on a 'break' between adventures, what do you do for fun, to relax and/or prepare for your next scheme/adventure/shenanigans?
Sleep, drink, fool around, do elf things, throw knives, sharpen knives, stab things, loot treasure, spend money.

Okay, if it's not a personal question what does 'do elf things' mean?

What she really means is spend several hours washing and brushing her hair, getting manicures, and setting bags of otyugh-poop on fire outside dwarves' houses.
Merisiel Sillvari |
Merisiel which countries/continents/cities have you been to? which one(s) would you recomend?
I've been all over Avistan and Garund. Not everywhere, but most places. I'd recommend Vyre in Cheliax for anyone who's adventurous, Varisia for anyone who just loves natural beauty, and the Shackles for anyone who thinks they don't have anything more to learn about being awesome.

Those too, of course. Although not otyugh poop. That stuff is... tenacious.
