No more applicants. However the people who expressed interest (ie are under the Still Missing Something heading) are still being considered. So I will wait till they get everything together and then make my decisions!
Remember, 5 people go in, and hopefully they survive :) Anyone who doesn't make it will of course be a secondary / alternate.

Nobody expects it, and everybody gets caught by it at least once from what I've seen. I know I certainly wasn't expecting it when I started my game.
Well for me, it's because my offline game has suddenly become unreliable. So I'm looking for more game, I've got about a billion character ideas to play.
fleshed out a few more things mechanically. would Smiley be able to have had Braggar help him make his own weapons and armor?
Art == Will == Gael, so that's one less on that list. And yeah DMs are definitely in demand!

I doubt you'll ever find a shortage of players for a PBP game on these boards. It's generally more a question of how do you decide who to take. For my first one I was running, I got double the number of people I thought I could handle in less than 24 hours, so I ended up running two. You could run two. You have at least 15 possibles, which gives you enough for three.
Feel free to kick Cerridwen if there are more first-timers here. I can always try her luck in another campaign, or see how she fares in Society play.

So only 2 people who showed interested out of the 15 are missing something. Once they get their sheets squared away I will go through everything and make my decisions.
Oh and jlighter: Considering this is going to be the first time I have DMed via PBP I think I will stick with just 1 game for now. Don't want to confuse myself too much. But if I like doing it (and I am pretty sure I will) I will prolly run others in the future!

yeah done it now, should look fine. Herlab helps out a lot and he only has weapons and armour as you said that's all they should buy.

Tell you what, folks. I hate to see so many go unsatisfied. If any of the following folks (those who weren't selected) are still interested in playing through this module, I'll run one as well. I have some small experience with GM-ing and with running PBPs, so I'll throw out in the beginning that we'll be running the full trio of modules (Crypt of the Everflame, Masks of the Living God, City of Golden Death) back-to-back, then we'll run free-form from there. The contenders:
Post if you're still interested, and I'll select from there. I'll probably be able to put up an OOC thread tomorrow afternoon/evening (currently evening PST), with an IC thread going up shortly after people check in.
Either way, looks like a low-magic party. Should be fun. :)
