Round four.

@PrinceofDarkness: I'm not a huge fan of non-humans, and I expect that I will only pick one or two of them. That said, Fiendish vessel is a fantastic archetype and very fitting for a campaign such as this. A devil spawn is fitting as well, so I would be interested to see how you want to build yourcharacter. That said, I like the idea of the archetype enough that if you wanted to make one as a human who literally sold his soul for power then I would be ok with ignoring the racial requirement for the archetype.

In that case I will probably make him human with the archetype and work a 'deal with the devil' into his story.

I'm interested and would love to create a LE cleric of asmodeus. I really like the Fiendish vessel tiefling option. I would take the fiendish heritage trait at first level with the idea of being devil-spawned. This is mainly a flavor choice and I am ok with taking a feat to tailor this character. Would this idea be acceptable? After seeing these great character profiles i do not want to create such an indepth character without knowing if the whole idea is acceptable to to the GM. Plus i need time to consider if this would be a battle orientated cleric looking to beat his gods will into others or one that focused on inflicting her opponents with divine malodies

Dm patcher:

For a leadership role, magister or spy master. The brigands he left, and stole his bow from probably don't like him anymore. Witchslayers are always a good enemy. As for the familiar, he's in denial at the moment. Otherwise he would have returned home for aid in curing his "brother". Tor's mission is to try and mold teion into a powerful witch, one that can serve his patron's goals. Eventually, as time passes and life lessons are elarned, Teion might come to realize that this is not his brother, and accept what happened all those years ago.

Posting from smart phone.......

Chaotic good dwarf fighter.

Doesn't really care about savings the trees, but loves a good fight.
Often rushes in head first. Not a deep thinker, likes to rhyme taunts in battle,

Ex. "Have you met my axe?
His name is Drax.

You call that a block?
Your dummer than a rock

You can't catch me
Your slower than a tree

You must have rocks in your head
Cause now your dead

Sry for the crappy rhyme, ill do better in the morning.

Hope this gives you a decent picture.

No worries at all. I made up an alchemist instead (Ingle) and am already starting to like him. I like your take on the familiar as a brother thing. Should be amusing. :)

Thanks, I wanted him to have a depeer than usual connection with his familiar. I liek the alchemists name, they are afun class onjce you get some discoveries.

@ Broven: sorry due, was working from my smart phone, and didnt even read your post. Late night posting al;ways seems to make em miss something. Feel free to make a witch, i can create a different character.

I have decided on an Elven Witch. Slumber is my starting hex, wich along with burning hands and a longbow make up my offense.

No name yet, but have some background info.

Born in Kyonin, he had a twin brother who mysteriously vanished. Eventually he leaves home, searching for some meaning in his life. he encounters his familiar, a talking weasel, that he thinks is his twin brother. The weasel has given up on trying to convince him otherwise.

1. Why are you interested in working with the Swordlords of Brevoy?

The havent tried to kill me yet! Not many chances for a witch to get legitimate work. He sees working for the swordlords as a way to gain some protection from people who would normally try to burn him.

2. What is your motivation to reclaim the Stolen Lands?

Renewed with hope after finding his brother (his familiar he seeks to explore the ancient ruins and search out fey creatures. As children, they often played at being mighty rulers, powerful mages, and exploring strange lands. He sees this as a chance for them to do that.

3. What will your character contribute to the group?

In the beginning, a few spells (burnign hands) and a lot of sleeping enemies ( sleep hex) with the occasional lobing of arrows. Some skills, defiently spellcraft, use magic device, intimidate, and some knowledges, arcane and perhaps planes and/or nature.

4. What are your plans for your character mechanicall

Elven Witch, all the way. Sleep, fly, heal are some of the hexes i'm interested in. High intelligence, good dex, and perhaps some charisma. Beign an elf, longbow and rapier are my prefered weapons. Nice ranegd support for whn out of spells or don't want to waste a spell. Weasel familiar because it looks fun. Elements patron, because fire is fun!

5. What are your plans for your character from a story-perspective?

Though he's not aware, he's really just looking for a place to call home, a purpose to his long life, acceptance, and companionship. He claims he's seeking adventure, and to explore the wild places of the world with his brother.

definetly interested, was thinking monk, since i've never played one. I'll work up a character idea, background and such.

Spent some time looking it over, and I think a Youth Vampire sorcerer of undead bloodline would be the best bet for me. Human child, bitten early, Has learned to harness his inner powers and delights in manipulating others, before ripping out their thouight and sucking their blood.

He'd be a Caster/Face, not afraid to get into close range for touch spells or abilities. very versatile with shapeshifting and spells. High charisma and manipulation spells and abilites should eb helpful, especially with the undead arcana to make some of his spells more affective vs undead

1st draft:

I really like the Ancient Youth option for vampires. A young boy, perhaps human or half elf. (not sure yet) raised by a theives guild from a young age. Always small for his age, he was very Adept and looked to be on the fast track to a prominent place in the guild when he became old enough. Betrayed by a rival, he was sent to steal from a reclusive nobles house, only to end up as the latest snack for the vampire noblewoman. For countless years, he served the noblewoman well, and was eventually released form her service.

Turned so young, he appears as a small child, often mistaken for easy prey. In some small towns a nightmarish tale is told, of the wandering orphan who dines upon whatever poor family shows kindness and takes him in for the night.

Thinking a rogue vampire youth, small and fast. Picturing a child walking through Geb/Nex, alone and confident. Those unfamiliar with him or too stupid to head the warnings, soon learn he is not child.

Feel free to comment/critique, will do some more work tomorrow, for now off to sleep.

Look over horros revisited and the various undead, will post an idea soon, but defi ently interested.

Checking in with my three stooges. Myron in the front, followed by Tam, then Dell.

The infamous Myron:

Strength 13
Agility 16
Stamina 9
Personality 8
Intelligence 12
Luck 8

hp 1d4 ⇒ 3
Ac 14
Short Sword +1,

Haha, outloaw with a shortsword and leather armor. traveling with his childhood sweatheart Tam, Myron is out for adventure like you hear about in all those stories.

Tam:

strength 12
Agility 13
Stamina 17
Personality 8
Intelligence 9
Luck 11

Hp 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Ac 11
Dagger +0

She's a cutpurse with a dagger. When Myron got his head filled with ideas of adventure, Tam got caught up in it. Smitten, she pushed through her fear and follows him despite a voice in her head sayingm "Bad this is a very bad idea"

[/sopoiler]

[spoiler=Dell]
strength 5
Agility 7
Stamina 15
Personality 8
Intelligence 9
Luck 16

Hp 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Ac 9
Shovel, -2

So he's a ditch digger with a shovel, and some dirt, 1lb. What can be said about dell, he's small, digs ditches, and thinks dead things should stay that way. Only remarkable things about him is he's damned kucky and seems to never give up.

Thing 1:

strength 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) = 5

Agility 3d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3) = 7

Stamina 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5) = 15

Personality 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8

Intelligence 3d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4) = 9

Luck 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5) = 16

Occupation 1d100 ⇒ 17

So he's a ditch digger with a shovel, and some dirt, awesome. Think i'll call him Dell

Thing 2:

strength 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5) = 12

Agility 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6) = 13

Stamina 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 6) = 17

Personality 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4) = 8

Intelligence 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) = 9

Luck 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4) = 11

Occupation 1d100 ⇒ 15

She's a cutpurse with a dagger, nice. Tam's her name for now.

Thing 3:

strength 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6) = 13

Agility 3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 6) = 16

Stamina 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2) = 9

Personality 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4) = 8

Intelligence 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5) = 12

Luck 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1) = 8

Occupation 1d100 ⇒ 83

Haha, outlow with a shortsword and leather armor, The infamous Myron!

Thing 4:

strength 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3) = 8

Agility 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) = 4

Stamina 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2) = 12

Personality 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6) = 12

Intelligence 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4) = 13

Luck 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 5) = 11

Occupation 1d100 ⇒ 75

jeweler with a dagger, and a gem, hmm perhaps Byron

i'm very interested and will downlaod the rules and go from there.

I would like to submit a human (varisian) staff magus. Don't have a name or character hset yet, but i'll work on those,

background: Framed by Lamm, he was forced to leave the academy in shame. His teachers and old friends whispered in the shadows, "thats what you get from a pureblood Varisian". Though he continues to practice his magic, he is unable to advance as quickly and as easily. A chance meeting with a wandering monk, turns him down the martial path. The monk teaches him the way of the staff and soon he begins incorporating his magic into his daily practices. As his skill improves each day, he focuses on his true goal, revenge on Lamm and the restoration of his honor.

I see him as someone values his good name and reputation. He had become blinded a bit by thoughts of revenge, and harbors a deep hatred for lamm.

How about, Sir Adaver Beestinger, the rather plump halfling cavalier of the sword. Seeking honor, glory, and righteous battle in the name of his god and his companions. Armed and armored as a night, except for his large and very green hat.

Was thinking wolf mount, shield and lance when mounted, spear and shield when on foot.

Throwing my hat into the ring. Still working on the concept and back ground, but thinking halfling cavalier.

sry internet and i disagreed for a day or 2, but its fixed

Throwing Rokan into the mix.

Still eneds background and such but stats should be set.

1. Why are you in Westcrown?

Some say westcrown is a tough place for a thief to make a living, and they'd be right. But it's also a tough palce for a honest man to make a living, with House Thrune and these other damned nobles. Westcrown may be dangerous and not as lucrative as other cities for my profession, but it's home, and I'll be damned if i'll be run out of my city.

2. Given a chance would you hurl down the ruling houses and take their place? Or create a new form of government?

Lord Rokan, hmmm....tempting, but no. Too much responsibility, restrictions, rules, not my style. There are certain people I wouldn't mind putting into power, seeing as they owe me a number of favors.

3. What will you be able to contribute to the group?

Charisma, daring, good looks, and the ladies love me. besides while your all playing "hero" i can stab the bastards in the back, find there secret stashes, and make sure were all well compensated, after my cut of course

4. How do you expect the character to develop roleplay wise? Mechanically?

The truth is, I have no real casue. Sure I mainly steal from Nobles, and crooked merchants, but it would be nice to do something big, like really big. Become infamous, a hero of the people, or at least a legend among theives. I'm a loner, others just get in my way, slow me down, and emotions are damned annoying. Still who doesnt want the company of good friends, companuions in arms and all that. The real issue is trust, and can I ever trust anyone.

Mechanically speaking, strait rogue (burglar), continuing down the 2-weapon path, favoring taletns that aid sneak attack, stealth, disable device, and bluff.

I'm a Hellknight about to lay down some police brutality down on you. What do you say to stop me from breaking off my spiked greaved boot in your butt?

Climbing out of the 2nd story window, Rokan quickly drops to the ally below. He holds his crouch for a moment , listening for any signs of alarm. Once he's sure all is quiet he makes towards the market, hoping to meet with his fence as soon as possible. Rounding the corner he runs straight into a HellKnight, the contents of his recent "job" spilling form his cloak. Just then shouts errupt form the nobles house, and cries of thief ring through the night. Piecing the obvious together the hellknight advances on the Rokan. Thinking quickly, Rokan says "I'm so glad your here, A theif, droped into that alley, these valuables under his arms. I was able to take these from him, being skilled with the blade and all, I think he's still lying dazed in the alley, if you hurry he should still be there. Worry not, for I am on my way to return these to their rightful owners."

I've been wanting to try council of theives. Currently in a Serpents skull and have a live gorup im running through rise, would like to play council befor ei decide if thats one id like to run soemday

Here are my 2 castoffs from other attempts.

Mordin keghammer

and

Bruaz the shoanti

try 3 for bruaz i think

4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 1, 1) = 124d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 2) = 114d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 5) = 214d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4, 3) = 154d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2, 3) = 144d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 5) = 14

11, 9, 17, 13, 12, 13

lol 75 exactly, yay.

reroll for bruaz

4d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 6, 5) = 174d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 1) = 124d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 5, 3) = 164d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 2, 5) = 164d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 2) = 84d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 6) = 13

16, 11,14,14,7,12

wow i cant roll over 75

Also have a dwarf that might be fun, he's a fighter using a Dorn-derger

Need to redo background and stats.

mordin kegHammer

4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1, 2) = 84d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 2) = 104d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 5, 4) = 214d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 2, 5) = 134d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 6) = 214d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 6) = 24

so if i do it manually that's a 7, 9, 17, 12, 17, 18

4d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 2) = 134d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 2) = 114d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5, 4) = 164d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 3) = 164d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 4) = 154d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 4, 1) = 14

trying to figure out how to do drop lowest, failed msierably

doing by hand. 11, 9, 13, 13, 13, 13

4d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 1) = 114d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 5) = 154d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 2, 5) = 154d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6, 4) = 174d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2, 1) = 104d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 2, 6) = 14

I'd like to enter my barbarian, just need to adjust skills and add a trait.
Bruaz

I'll pick a Quah for hit to have belonged to, just need to look nthrough them again.

Why didn't the paladin make us ask permission????? :)

I'm good with ithuriel.

Bruaz

This should be pretty set

will post character later, but thinking barbarian, with the ebast totem. Perhaps wandering shoanti, ends up quasi apprentice/slash helper to his mentor. perhaps looks to him as an adopted father.

have always wanted to run this one. lol, oh well

Here's what I ahve so far, Sid,

not finished, and need to add background and such, but gives you an idea.

I've decided on a lawful good human druid with a bear companion:) much easier for all of us, and should be jsut as fun

Changed my mind, gonna make a normal character.

So, i looked over the rule son the link, and I have a concept i've been kicking around, a wearbear ranger, lawful good, using the archery conbat style. However, it seems the strength bonus of a wearbear, (brown) is pretty ridiculous, so i was thinking of using black bear stats, to reign it in.

i'm open to either natural or afflicted.

Working up a character now, being mindful of the ability to munchkin as much as i can, please feel free to reign me in if i get out of hand :)

Basic concept is a halfling from the desert, keeps himself cloaked in overlapping clothes and unrully hair. A falchion hangs at his belt, and his hair is orange/red. Always smiling, he is the light hearted jokster, with a mysterious past.

When in combat he is constantly on the move, using his small size and agility to his advantage. His jokes become more taunting as he tries to get his opponent mentally and emotionally off guard.

edit: the character so far Scortan

would have to dig through my "old" books, but im interested.

Would Swordsage from book of nine sword be ok?

initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Dang, evelyn is killing the dice, can't wait for them to fail me once combat starts.

17, 19, 25, 16, 14, 15, and a 6. not bad at all

survivors:

"Sounds like a fine structure, fit for god's most trusted servant, don't forget the taproom, haha"

The hard work seems to suit the dwarf and he makes good use of the hammer. As he works, he sings some ancient dwarven mining song.

perform sing 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Wet and weary, once the work is done he settles down next to the shelter.

"Thus ends our first day, with hard labour to work the muscles and ease the mind."

rolling HP, might as well complete as much as I can. 1d12 ⇒ 10

thanks, hat gives me a better sense of things.

Are Arasmes and Evelyn the only ones there looking through the trunk? I know the other did not seem in favor, and Alison stated she was somewhere else. If none of the others are in the room, I have Evelyn bring the book with read me on the cover into the main room and see what the others think.

i will be out of town, this sunday and monday, might be able to post but no guarantees on internet. Feel free to drag me along, or make a roll as needed.

me thinks young evelyn has a temper, yes that seems about right.

"What foolishness is this! The professor was no necromancer, now step aside and let us honor the dead, else I add a few more to the ground today."

With one hand, Evelyn slowly reaches for her falchion, drawing the attention of those watching to the large weapon.

ooc:
Intimidate 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Arasmes wrote:
I have a question for folks who know more about Golarion than I. What university would Arasmes have attended? I imagine that he is from Taldor with a Katapeshi ethnicity, thus the name. But I mainly picked the name because it sounded like Erasmus

I agree witgh billzabub, make it up.

Another option could be that instead of a formal chool, it was more of a traveling class, learning in the field with the professor. When not abroad, you were right in the professors home town (must be mentioned somewhere) and he had a lab/classroom that he taught out of.

Jörmungandr wrote:
I'm thinking of focusing on being a bomber, are they fairly decent?

I found the bombs a fun/useful aspect. Smoke bomb was a nice battlefield control, and opens up for other area of affect bombs later on. Explosive bomb is also nice, but would reccomend also getting precise bomb if you go that route. Something to think about, are you gonna enter melee at all with a strength mutagen, and possibly feral mutagen discovery, or stay at range and possibly use a bow or crossbow with a dex mutagen? If your concentrating on bomber, i'd make dex mutagens for the extra bonus to hit ( and no intelligence penalty). Then of course there is the question: to infuse and share or not infuse and be selfish lol.

Hey guys,

thanks for letting me in :)

I'm going to have another quick look over the classes and make my final decision on Alchemist, Witch, bard :P

If you have any questions about how an alchemist plays out, feel fre to ask, i've played one before.

For some reason, had a hard time settling on a character, so ill submit Mordin KegHammer
