Cousin Schmitty |

Roger visibly looks better after the healing, and stands straighter. "Thank you Daemon." Looking around, Roger frowns. "Why would anyone ever come down here?!"
HP 10/10 thanks to Daemon
The wet pathetic looking halfling covered in sewer gunk looks up at Roger and says,
Hells if I know.

DM Darkthorne |

That's enough of those stunts, Roger! It's dangerous enough down here! The captain says angrily, but relieved to see that Daemon has been able to heal you so well. We've got to find the others. Let's keep moving! he says. He begins to say Let's— but he stops mid-sentence and stares into the dark through the cascade of sewage to the other side of the tunnel intersection.
From the darkness on the other side of the sewage waterfall the squeaking and hissing grows steadily louder. Writhing masses of rats crawl over each other towards you from two of the tunnel passageways. They are nothing compared to the enormous rat that just tackled Schmitty, but what they lack in size they make up for in sheer numbers. Countless bald tails whip back and forth and black, beady eyes glare from the chaotic masses of filth and fur. The rats squirm and jump and claw, baring their pointy little fangs and salivating at the smell of warm flesh. They fall over each other, clawing and spitting to be first in line to devour you.

Cousin Schmitty |

Schmitty's eyes widen momentarily as he realizes he has no weapons that would be effective against this swarm. As such he uses his actions to get to the stairwell and waits at the bottom to see if others are coming too. E12
If I move through a few people squares I should just make it in a single move action. If not I'll use a double move and continue up the stairs.

Roger McCuen |

Moving to G5, unleashing a punch at the swarm
Attack Roll vs Swarm - 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24, Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Crit Confirmation Roll vs Swarm - 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12, Damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Roger dashes forward quickly, manuevering around the edge to get near one of the piles of rats. He lashes out with his fist, aiming to take out a few of the rats at least, and buy the group time to get away. "Run guys! Get out of here!"

Voem Cubskel |

Tightening his grip on his sword slightly, Voem watches the wriggling bodies advance towards him in the filth, suddenly regretting kicking the dire rat. Being already injured and knowing that he has no weapon capable of taking on a swarm of rats that large, Voem falls back Move to G12 to get closer to the stairs.
"Gentlemen, I suggest we get out of here!" Voem says, keeping his eye on the rats.

Arvind "The Hammer" Grunwald |

Arvind watches as the others begin to withdraw, swinging his flail, in readiness to use against the swarm, he places himself between the swarms and his friends as they retreat up the stairs. Giving his compatriots the time to make their way to safety.
Probably ends up around 10,G

Rat Swarm 2: The swarm of rats follows the bloody water to the corpse of the recently-deceased dire rat and moves over it in a sickening display of hunger and competition. The rip into it’s flesh with tiny teeth, scratching at each other to get at it. As you watch, the body is stripped own to bloody bones and fragments of flesh.

@Roger: In a daring display of bravery, you run up to the feasting mass of rats and thrust your fist into the midst of them. You figure you must have killed at least three of them.
Since the rats moved before it was your turn, I will have your move take you to G7 instead. Also note that critical hits do not apply to swarms.
Porter draws his sword and shuuders as he joins Althos and Arvind.

Daemon Son-of-none |

where is everyone in comparison to the oil on the walk way, will I be cutting off people in the party if I light it on fire? will it effectively block the rats or should I wait until they are on the oil to light it up?
I shout, "everyone get behind the oil on the walk way! Try to herd the rats towards it!
with that I pull a tindertwig out of my belt pouch and a torch out of my pack and prepare to light it on fire

Voem Cubskel |

Standing next to Arvind, Voem faces the swarms and is horrified to see them merge into one large group over the carcass of the dire rat. If the swarm moves within range of his bastard sword, Voem takes a swipe at the rats, swinging from left to right in an effort to push them towards the grease.

Arvind "The Hammer" Grunwald |

Arvind watches, to see which way the swarm(s) decide to go, to follow Roger across the oil or another way. He does however take the flail once more in his hand, ready to defend himself or anyone else. "You alright friend?, those rats didn't get you? Let's hope they follow the bait and move to the oiled area.", Arvind addresses Althos. He raises his eyes and mutters a few words to the divine, encouraging the rats to the oil.
