Monk Weapon Adept?

What does Monk Weapon Adept give you the way its worded it sounds like i can select a weapon and treat it as a monk weapon.

I want my monk to be using a scimatar but i aslo want him to flurry of blows with it

You can flurry of blows with any monk weapon. Being as that the scimitar is now a monk weapon you can flurry with it.

Is that a rule change or the Weapon Adept that made the scimitar a monk weapon?

I don't see anything in the Weapon Adept that allows you to change a non-monk weapon into a monk weapon. Which seems really strange to me.

I don't see anything that can be read that way. The only thing they get that has anything to do with a specific weapon, as opposed to all weapons, is

That specifically references that it's only with monk weapons. So no scimitars.

I don't see where it says any of that under weapon adept. they get weopon focus and weapon specialization with any monk weapon. it says nothing about making non monk weapons monk weapons.

No i the build is for a Dance of the Dervish Monk

Yeah, you're out of luck there. Your best bet would be to be a Monk of the Empty Hands and dual wield scimitars as improvised weapons (which the MoEH can flurry with). You get the flavor, but none of the properties of the scimitars themselves.
