OPC Log — 11 Gozran 4717

As mentioned in last week's PFS blog, voting for the “OPC Needs a New Character” contest was supposed to open on April 10th. Unfortunately, the Paizo goblins decided to get involved and wreck a little havoc on our plans. As a result, we are postponing the competition voting and blog until Friday, April 14th, with voting stretching until Friday, April 21st.

Sorry for the inconvenience! We will hunt down the goblins and send them packing.

Until Friday, remember to Explore, Report, Cooperate!

Nasty, tease-y goblins!

(Ok, I've got four more days to wonder if the minor errors I found after submission got my character knocked out already. Keeping calm.)

This should make for some great weekend reading.

Totally understandable. Thanks for the heads up because yeah, I was refreshing this a lot today. Looking forward to Friday!

"Victory! Doom comes with the written word
In goblin ears, a prophecy overheard --
Sound the warning and bang the drum
The fated longshank hero soon will come!

So we Goblins came to claw and fight
Together pulling down the Paizo site
And now cruel Tonya's hero is delayed
Oh, hero... See our bombs and be afraid!"

Any teasers while we wait?
Commonalities in class or race?
How many contenders?
Do you have a potential minis picked out already?

Personally, I read this as 'packaging' and kinda wanted that to happen.

Oh, no. The packing peanuts are bad enough. Goblins plus packing peanuts would be a complete disaster!

Why not set the submissions after the goblins as a psuedo-Hunger Games? Be nice to see the characters fighting goblins of the Technic League. ;)

Or just the right amount of awesome.

As long as we don't have to clean it up afterwards...

...but I guess that's a pretty good rule for anything involving goblins.

I know the blog probably won't update for another hour.

I'm still refreshing every other minute.

They posted the new blog, and still no character contest. :(

I'm really allowing the anticipation of this to become a bigger distraction than it should be this week. What can I say, I'm one of those people that likes the character creation part of the game as much as the actual playing of the game.

That's a minis blog, it's different. I bet they'll have the OP blog up soon.

Reminds me of why I was always the GM until I found pfs. "Let me just pull a few characters out of my mental binder and see what happens when they encounter the party."
