About Twitchy Boom Boom

When Twitchy started adventuring, she loved two things in this world most of all: throwing bombs and her giant vulture hatchling, Fluffer Buttkins. Now she also loves the party that she travels with, though she has trouble admitting it. Despite herself she has fallen in love with Ronk Bonk, a somewhat adorable yet annoying goblin barbarian with no sense of self-preservation whatsoever. She is also fond of her best friends Medge the Pirate King, Gurp of the Swamp, and Ronk's oddly clever kitty mount, Mort.

Twitchy will do just about anything to avoid being named leader, including doing all the actual work of leading: making decisions, coming up with plans, herding cats, slugs and goblins. She's currently happy with the current government of the Dread Pirate Clan, with her friend Medge as King but with Twitchy doing all the hard thinking.

Things she carries in her pockets: string! dead rats! used gum! chalk (good for drawing) and a dog whistle. Twitchy wears a battered but once stylish hat that once belonged to a halfling. The hat is a clever disguise. She believes that if she wears that hat and speaks in halfling about pie, long shanks will leave her alone, thinking that she is a halfling. Pie is delicious, especially when made from long shanks who can't see in the dark.

Twitchy Story So Far
Twitchy grew up on the edge of the swamp, a rather adventurous goblin. She has an absolute fascination with fire, blowing things up, but also with the natural world. She was also a secret reader, believing that the signs that humans posted had useful information. One day she found a vulture egg. She thought about eating it raw (tasty!) but then had another idea. What if she hatched it? She liked meat better than gooey egg, so she moved the egg and herself to a warm cave with a cozy fire where she kept the egg safe from predators.

In the cave she found a sleeping alchemist, a book of formulae, and an alchemical kit. She killed and ate the alchemist -- he was tasty -- and studied the book. It was difficult to make out, but very interesting. The more she studied, the more excited she grew. She could learn to blow things up! She could learn spells and potions and things!

Then the egg hatched. The vulture followed Twitchy everywhere, and Twitchy fed it the last of the now rotting alchemist carcass. She discovered that her vulture was useful, and trainable. And it would listen to her talk about alchemy all day long, and not be bored. She realized that she didn't want to eat her vulture (yet), and started to think about what it would mean to throw bombs while flying.

She returned to the village flying Fluffer. Her ability to create bombs is considered a valuable skill. She has recreated her formulae book with pictures, so others don't know that reading was involved.
