Frostbite PbP needs a Sorcerer

Frostbite is a Viking style Pathfinder game at second level that started just over a year ago. There are seven handpicked and reliable players, but the eighth character is the one that has unfortunately fallen by the wayside.

Saorise is an icy noble born sorceress and playing her is hard because she ruffles feathers and has a serious attitude problem without spoiling the game for the rest.

The blonde Saorise is tied to another character, the brusque inquisitor, as a pair of mage-hunters. So rather than lose the inquisitor too, I am looking for someone to take over the sorceress.

This is not a fast game but it is built to last. I'd advise anyone interested to read the initial discussion thread which details the land and culture in some depth and also have a look through the game thread.

My criteria for anyone applying is that be mature enough to handle the role without spoiling the party and have a proven history on their profile of playing arcane casters.

Preference will be given to people, I or my players, have gamed with before and trust to fit in well. Gamers with no history that I can't research on these boards need not apply, I am not looking for a newbie.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

I know I am asking a lot, and may come up empty but hopefully someone out there fits the bill.

I may be interested in taking over the character. Give me a day or two to make myself familiar with the character and the setting before truly committing.

That being said, I don't believe that I have had the pleasure to be in a group with you or any of your players to this point (which is damned amazing in itself with the number of games I am/have been involved in here), so that may be a sticking point. If it is a problem, no hurt feelings. :)

Talomyr you rank as a Name I recognise, that is almost as good in my book. Frankly I am a little surprised too. Take your time, Saorise is in limbo at the moment.

I would have liked to play this character as she sounds like an interesting one, but since my credentials aren't up to snuff (despite spending almost a month now looking for a pbp) I haven't asked.

I am afraid I was badly burnt by the enthusiasm of two new players last year when their promises proved empty. It cost me a lot of time and effort and eventually killed the game. I would consider you if this game (and its players) weren't so important to me. We have spent a great deal of time setting the scene and building the characters so that the game will last. I hope you can understand and good luck hunting down one for yourself.

Good luck finding a replacement player; it seems like an interesting character and game. I tend to prefer divine casters, so I will not put my name for consideration, but I hope you find someone who can properly fill the character out.

I have been looking for another game to join, and if the part is still open, I can probably step into your ice sorceress' shoes. I happen to have a deep fondness for Pathfinder Sorcerers, and currently have a celestial sorceress and passionate fire sorceress (actually a gestalt fire sorceress/alchemist) already in games at the moment. I imagine the icy sorceress would be the exact opposite of my fire one.

Just passing through to comment that it looks like a really interesting game, just a shame that the character is so 'preset'! I'd have loved to bring something to the table, but it isn't whats on offer :)

I can attest to the quality of Stardust's play in our other game where we have a pretty good dynamic. For the record, I play Jorgen, the Inquisitor in question.

Thanks Mark. Talomyr, you have until this evening to make a decision one way or the other, otherwise stardust is in. He already gets on well with Mark which is great but you were here first and that should count for something.
