Test-driving my starter pair of multifocal contact lenses.
So far, hate is too mild a word.
Abhor?
Yes.
I abhor them.
Sorry to be flip earlier.
I don't remember, did you wear contacts before? Because it can take a bit of getting used to them, even the nice soft lenses. I have a severe astigmatism in one eye, so the contact for that eye is contoured to fit its not-quite-sphericity shape; if it gets moved out of where it's supposed to sit, it's annoying until it takes the many blinks to move back into place (or I have to use a fingertip to move it manually).
And if you're new to contacts, I recommend you pop them out at night into all-in-one solution. I know my eyes feel better when I sleep with them out, even though the contacts are rated as safe to leave in.
If it's the gas-permeable hard contacts, you have my deepest sympathies. I absolutely hated wearing them.

Thankless it is not.

A woman came walking up to the door earlier. She looked very puzzled as to why the doors didn't open for her. Then she saw the two signs. One says "You must wear a mask to enter" (she wasn't), the other says "The door is locked. Use your room key or use the phone to contact the front desk." She did neither and walked away. At first, I thought she might have been going to get a mask from her car, but it's been 15 minutes and I haven't seen her come back yet...
wrong door syndrome?

The anime Fairy Tail may not be the best anime but it sure is a fun one.
Fairy Tail suffers from the usual: It starts off really strong for the first season or two, then they realize they have a real money-maker on their hands and continue to add characters and non-sensical plot ad nauseum until you forget why you enjoyed it in the first place.
I think we gave up towards the end of Season 3, but until then yes, it was a lot of fun.

No, more like not knowing what to say vs. Completely at ease conversation with a woman somewhat interested in me(or at least the conversation).

Nothing belongs in pecan pie.
One of the few "pies" I refuse to eat. (I can immediately add "mud pie" and "cow pie" to that list, but I'll have to think harder to come up with more...)
I quite enjoy most chocolate (except Hershey's) and I'll eat raw pecans until I'm nauseously full, but I do not like chocolate pecan pie. Or regular pecan pie either.

Untitled goose game will be two player.
This will either usher in world peace, or it will lead to more spontaneous bursts of vicious violence than the entire histories of siblings playing Monopoly and Sorry combined.
As we are still only halfway through the century that is The Year of 2020, I know which way I'd bet.

She never did come back. Don't know why, don't care.

This is already halfway to becoming a new urban legend or SCP Foundation story.

I get occasional reminders why Tomino-o-sensei is my hero
"When humanity is unable to see the effects they have on the little people, they tend to commit terrible mistakes."
This needs to be the bump to every TV show in the US from now until the end of time.

I ended up jumping into season 6 and haven't looked back. I have enjoyed a whole lot.

Our latest disaster; i.e., the wildfires? No... nothing much to report...
Ah, well! Hi, all! Happy nothing day! (Except Cap's b-day, but my recollection is that he'd prefer to forget it anyway.)

This year, I've decided to say f!&& it and let it happen as it may.
I might get a cake on my way home, I might not.
However, because I've been working so much and I'm finished with patio (and moving on to another patio, this one with diamond shaped pavers) I've decided I'm going to get myself a present on the way home, whatever that may be.
Basically, I'm going with a casual birthday rather than a miserable or foreboding birthday.

We got the place! And it's even more affordable than we thought, as it comes furnished AND with utilities and internet included!
Oh, and I got hired at a different arcade. Slightly less pay, but I can start pretty much right away, and it's all above-the-board. I don't feel comfortable with under the table stuff. I love the concept of cutting the government out of it's share, but I also know the NSA is always watching, and I somehow feel the IRS is petty enough to get mad about a little thing like that.

And here I thought it was generic attractive female and random electronic retail white dude (both from Australia, naturally).
I was so close
:D
(Though you may, actually, have worked in electronics retail, once, I'unno. Pretty sure that's not your current job.)
