Scarab Sages

Yeah, it's a weird way to do an interview, but that's partly why I wanted to go through with it - to get the experience of it.

Nekkid experience?

Nice AZ and a good day to you. A good day to everyone.

Scarab Sages

And there's a retirement party for one of my former co-workers today! Woot!

Scarab Sages

Scarab Sages

At work now. Back in a bit.

Scarab Sages

Since we have our ex-co-workers retirement party today, and no one knew about my interview today, I've been having a bit of fun telling folks I'm all dressed up just for the party.

Scarab Sages

I should probably be doing more to prep for this interview.....

Scarab Sages

But that would mean denying the boards my wonderful attitude and clever insight.

Scarab Sages

Meh.

I pretty much completely rewrote that one myself. Party seemed to like it. :)
What did you change? Book 2 is so open, I'd like to see what you do there.

Looks like the changes I made are similar to the ones Orthos is planning.

Cool. My own game is going in a more mundane direction.

Had a good night out with friends last night. Ramen and a dessert bar- Chickalicious. Despite the title, they were not serving us women, which only slightly disappointed me, but they DID serve us the most AMAZING dessserts. I got the mille(sp) cake that was rated the best in NY, as well as chai tea creme brulee(sp- what can I say? I'm not a francophone). Twas awesome.

Also, nekkid interview is interesting.

I took my son and daughter to see the live RiffTrax of Birdemic last night. We had a great time, but I have to wonder what the "director/producer" was smoking when he decided this was a movie he could release.

Yep.

Spoiler:
The group has an Arachne (Drider) as their Diplomat and a Worg as their Warden. I don't count the Kobolds - Mikmek is their Assassin - since they're a standard race in my setting. I had the trolls come to visit Akiniyi the Arachne to offer her the chance to join their kingdom instead, so she sent one of her Aranea daughters to fetch the party after they returned from visiting the Old Beldame and escort them to the Temple where Akiniyi and her spiders now live. Hargulka showed up with his five escorts and pet Trollhound at the very end of the session, waiting for them inside the temple cave.

The group demanded another Friday session rather than leave on a cliffhanger for a week.

I had a rage moment on the way to work this morning.

The local rock radio station does call-in giveaways that usually involve stupid little question-and-answers sessions. One they do is "Heaven or Hell", which they give you a person - can be fictional, historical, contemporary, whatever - and the person has to answer "if this person was dead (if they're not already) would they be in Heaven or Hell?"

Today featured Thomas Edison and according to the DJ the answer was "Heaven" "cause, c'mon, he created the light bulb and the video camera".

I was near screaming "LOOK UP NIKOLA TESLA YOU MORON" at the radio for five minutes.

I'm not an Edison fan.

I will be trying this place.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Morning? Already?
Again?!?

Meh. And good luck Zombie! :)

Holy cow that journal got long. If I'd tried to type that up after the session last night I'd have been up until 1 at least.

Was worth it though. Really looking forward to tonight =D

I'm not up on tesla vs Edison, although I found I to be a fascinating part of assassins creed. Please update me, I know tesla fanatics tend to foam at the mouth over the light bulb thing, but due to their zeal zeal, I have yet to hear a coherent argument.

Read this. Explains everything pretty coherently. Not in great detail mind, but entertainingly.

Short version: Edison really didn't invent anything other than ways to finagle people out of contracts and rip them off. He was really good at selling stuff, and really good at convincing people to work with him, but wasn't much of an inventor. He just found them, got them to sign on with him and funded their stuff, then took credit. He was a thief.

Coherent? Here?! lol

OK, I'll try. It all begins with the conductive nature of plants.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

Ugh. That could have gone better. Had 50 minutes to go through 9 questions. Was done in about 25. Sadly, I talk fast when I'm nervous.

And I forgot to add in a lot of stuff that would have made me look better.

Oh well.

Ugh. Hopefully they read that as excitement.

Did you remember to wear pants this time? Did they muffle your flatulence?

Spoiler:
and don't ask about having to interview the occasional stinky person....been there

Seriously, hoping that it all works in your favor.

dood, this is the oatmeal. I love the Site, but this is exactly what I'm talking about with respect to to tesla-philes not being very coherent in their arguments.. It's like talking to a proud Italian on the Franconi-bell debate regarding the telephone. Not yelling at you, mind, but it's starting to get Pluto-is-not-a-planet level frustrating in the search for answers

Heh, it's all I have on hand at the time, mostly cause someone posted it not too long ago and it's still in my history.

I'll try to dig up and compile some more referential stuff over the weekend.
