One one hand, Adobe has its NA Headquarters mere 70 km away from where NH lives. On the other hand, I am almost certain that NobodysHome was quite vocal about Flash, and definitelly not in a good way...

Though it could explain his less than stellar opinion of his company at times.

My guess was Cisco, but I could see Oracle as a possibility as well. I don’t expect NH to confirm or deny.

Since he's doing courses I've been thinking Oracle.

Well, my knowledge of companies making business software is extremally limited anyway.

My company has a lot of remote employees in Florida. I'll have to sacrifice the in-laws, but I'm in favor of this overall decision. The needs of the many saw off the incoherent few.

I suppose we can run a covert rescue/relocation mission for our chosen few FAWTLs who would otherwise be affected by this perfectly rational decision.

There are instances where the slash gets reversed to support certain languages (I want to say Java, but I'm too lazy to double-check), but when you're telling me, "In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:/LabData/MyFile" I just want to slap you.

While I appreciate the thought, I'm almost certainly already a carrier for the Florida Man infection. Even if I myself don't Turn, I'd likely just infect you and everyone else.

Your wisest course would be to wall off the state at the border and shoot down/sink anyone who attempts to escape. And then airdrop in ammunition, automatic weapons, explosives, and a Ferret or Gage V-100. And at least a crate of peppermint Altoids.

I'm sure eventually it will all be worth it, but it's a pain in the ass trying to make any progress with a drain on your experience resources that flails around uselessly and will die if you don't constantly attend to it, while contributing nothing towards your progress in the meantime.

I don't love her even the slightest bit less than with my entire heart but to my friends who never want to have one similar to how I was - stick to your guns! You have those justifiable feelings for a reason, and people who are trying to change your mind are just trying to have one more person to hang out with that has kids - because nobody voluntarily without kids wants to hang out with someone else's children.

Bet you haven't heard a happy parent tell you that in a while.

Poke her nose.

Dad apparently used to do that to me, when I was being a bit much.

Not that that was often. I am naturally reserved and quiet of nature. I am sure I was even more quiet as a child.

I'm actually getting quite good at calming her down - it has been nearly half a year, after all.

However, I remember what it's like to not have kids, and not want kids, and have everyone trying to talk you out of it, and say you're wrong, and I wanted to reassure Orthos, Scint, and anyone else who has the unusual opinions that I had - you're not wrong. You're not entirely right, but don't you ever let those people tell you otherwise.

As a new parent who was reluctant to become one, I make it a point to remember who I was before. I [i]hated[i] inconsiderate parents whose kids would scream and didn't get up and leave the room. I thought to myself "listen, jerk, YOU are the one who doesn't know how to use birth control; stop making the rest of us suffer for YOUR mistakes" - and so, when my child cries, etc, I leave the room. I will make her public behavior among adults a top priority when raising her, because I hated those people.

Similarly, when I became a Christian, I made it a point to remember my roots as an adamant agnostic, and the things I hated about Christian culture, the things I found offensive as an outsider I pointedly try to adjust about myself - which is something you don't see from most of my....heh, I almost said "bretheren", and archaic language is one of the things I hated about my newer culture. (Considering the original language wasn't even English, there's absolutely nothing special about archaic language, but I constantly see people use it in said subgroup).

If you can get lucky enough to have a sibling spawn out a few, being an uncle/aunt is about 85% as good as being a parent, but with only about 5% of the responsibility. (Before any parents freak out, yes, that last 15% is heroin-level good, but it's also heroin-level exhausting.)

Even if you spoil the shit out of them every time you see them, you only spend about 1/100th the amount of a parent, but to the kid it looks like you're a baller every time you show up, and so they LOVE you. It's also great prep for if you ever actually decide to be a parent. Is it even near the responsibility? No. But it's a good warm up.

His previous job was at a firm inside Nakatomi Plaza. There was some kind of construction accident and a whole bunch of people had to get laid off.

4) Employ her at my small business.
5) End all invoices to customers with "And you will now pay Dearly for this."

You know, I hate Rick and Morty probably more than any cartoon, maybe even more than Veggietales.

It's the premise I hate, a genius inventor grandfather takes advantage of his autistic grandson to get drunk, and rob aliens and then let his autistic grandson deal with the repercussions.

No thank you!

Of course, I'm probably biased, with an uncle with downsymdrome and a brother wrecked mentally by overprescribed medication for his epilepsy when he was younger. So I don't find taking advantage of the mentally handicapped all that funny.

I do like Solar Opposites however, it's pretty much Rick and Morty except they're aliens trying to escape earth, much more palatable.
