Thanks, appreciate it!

I have some good news too though. Kingmaker game I was worried would crash and burn due to drama has been going on. Might make a separate thread for recaps.

On the other hand, once she went back she got straight As and graduated cum laude. There's something to be said for maturity.

I've been looking for any IT job I qualify for, but I'll look up retail or others I have a chance to get hired for. I'll also ask the staff at campus if they can find me something. After all, if job experience is a requirement to graduate, the university should have resources for students who have a harder time getting to the job market. Can't really run a school if nobody can graduate, and whatnot.

3.4%.

The mind boggles.

I'm not surprised, my grandpa worked at a Chrysler factory in Illinois his entire career, so we've had a lot of Chryslers and every single one had transmission issues at some point.

is that a lot?

Yeah, it is. That's about 10,146 confirmed cases of the transmission lever in your car being disconnected from the transmission and it could happen in any gear.

Put into another perspective, if 3.4% of the US population had been confirmed to have a terribly infectious and lethal disease, you'd be looking at something on the order of the entire Chicago metro area having that disease.

So the question is how many other cases are just waiting to happen every day?

They literally recalled every single 2013-2016 Dart sold in the US that has an automatic transmission.

Of course, what they aren't telling you is that the Chrysler 200 was the same car as the Dart...

Good luck, Icy. Having said that, look into the Comptia A+, Network+, and then Security+. They might help out on the job front.

Icy, you might want to look at Best Buy and try to get a job in the geek squad.

Speaking of weird things, it's 81°F here today. In April.

Considering the all-time high for this date in this location is 85°F, I think I get to say, "It's hot," even though most will scoff.

On the bright side, since daytime power will soon be free, we bought a dehumidifier for the garage after seeing its massive mold problem. And because it's me, I got a massive one that doubles as an air conditioner and a heater, because why not, so we're sitting around with a 14,000 BTU air conditioner in the living room if we need it.

(And if we need air conditioning when it's still under 90°F, we're getting soft.)

Hope you all are doing well. Thread's not loading for me (probably my horrendous internet), so I have no idea! But! Heart you guys!

Easter was good, but left us swamped with traveling (and with the first four routes home entirely closed - the first closure was, apparently, due to a "sanitation truck exploding," which... hhhhhhhuh), and I managed to stay healthy until the last day of our trip (the day before going on said "that route is also shut down" road trip home), whereupon I immediately got sick. I managed to ignore it until I got home, and have since collapsed. Breathing! It's a thing I used to enjoy~!

But it was good, and I hope all of yours' were, as well!

Love you all!

(5) Bug assignee escalates bug.
(6) High-level muckety-muck has come after me and demanded to know how *I* plan to resolve the bug.

So yep. You file a bug, it gets escalated, then assigned to YOU.

And THAT is why I never file bugs.

Reminds me of when my coworker and I worked for a different company and he complained about mice in the seed room, so he was assigned the task of exterminating the mice, as well as making sure the seed room is clean.

Which is why the only thing I suggest at work, is casual Fridays.

while I am not in favor of the squeaky wheel getting the grease, how would you have handled that differently?
The person reporting the bug is not supposed to be assigned the task of fixing it. This situation would be akin to you reporting a bug in a Final Fantasy game, and the manager of the development team telling you to fix the bug.
oh no, I was talking about the mouse problem. I know there should be a team for handling program bugs.
Oh...ok...in that case just get a couple farm cats and you're golden.

*Maos*

I'll tell you that in my aunts housing estate, there are stray cats, but unfortunately since several someones have been feeding the cats, they're fat, lazy...and run at the sight of rats.

I can relate. There’s something about studying and working at the same time with your company sponsoring you partially, so you know you’d better do the course fast (since if you dally you pay another year of school fees) and not screw up. I graduated with second upper.

The Exchange

Icy – if you’re living on a student budget – go for firm Toufu (or Tau Kwa) at the Asian grocery stores. If you do your groceries once per week you’ll have to deal with rubbery Tau Kwa since it only can stay in the fridge for maybe 2 days tops?

Or just go boil a batch of soya beans and keep them for munches through the week(I’d try that, but the problem is too many soya beans send ME to the toilet. The processed soy products though, I don’t get that issue). Add in frozen broccolis and spinach and you should be cool. Also keep an eye out for the quick clear section in supermarkets.

For different reasons(due to a lack of time because I’m using my lunch break to work out in the gym), I’ve been eating Tau Kwa quite a bit. It’s like 90 cents - $1 for 2 pieces that will last me lunch and dinner. If that isn’t budget, I don’t know what is.

Anyway it’s like I’m sitting around counting calories (Samsung health App) and macronutrients, and trying to figure my bodyfat percentage down so I get a six-pack. While chasing that elusive pull-up. (I suspect that I may have done one or two on occasion but they’re not properly documented so I’m not sure if I really did a pull up or not – I.e is jumping on the bar and pulling yourself up considered a pull up? Or do you need to be hanging from the bar, then pulling yourself up? And how much of you do you need to get above the bar before it’s a pull up? Does your chin need to go over the bar, or just be at bar level?)

One thing to note about that after the changes I made to my diet, these days I eat like anything..I don’t really care if the fruits are sour, I’d eat them anyway - they’re just vitamin C and fibre packages to me.

I know I don’t get enough vegetables, the best I usually manage is some yellow or red capsicums on my pizza, or spinach in the egg omelette in the morning. Else my day is usually too hectic to squeeze in any vegetables. I have a bag of mandarin oranges at a cozy corner at my desk that I usually hit during the day if I feel peckish, or my nutrient tracker tells me I’m not getting enough vitamin C (apples and pears are really crappy in that department). At a pinch I can use them for Vitamin A as well but its…eh…inefficient. Getting some frozen spinach is easier in getting that Vitamin A quota done.

Hermione and Teensy Valeros have been listening to an audiobook for kids where some of the characters play a game of Risk.
So they asked if we had a copy of the game.
Yes, yes we do.

After our first hour and a half session tonight, Teensy Valeros controls the entire southern hemisphere except for Siam, all but two territories in Europe, and a third of Asia. Hermione is getting her a$$ handed to her. I only have North America, but I also have strategic cavalry divisions in Asia. We will see what happens tomorrow. I firmly believe in the motivating power of whupping your children's hindquarters every now and then.

Wandered off. Had werk. And headed to the gym to do some weights. My last weights session was uninspired but I suppose that's sort of to be expected after climbing rocks. Again if I do weights before I climb, then my climb gets rather crappy. And I only get to climb once per week. I'm trying to increase my chest press weights so I can eventually do a bench press with just the bar. I am not arrogant enough to think I can bench press with just the bar without training.

Now if I were to vet through what I should be doing better(on the fitness side) I would say it'd be getting more sleep. My average hours of sleep is 6h 42 min, but it feels like I'm pulling 5+h on weekdays consecutively ><

Clocking out. Good night, everyone.

I'm running around (sometimes literally because I'm always in a hurry) trying out every free exercise activity I can get my paws on because eh... I like to challenge myself?

Maybe one of these days I should hike my sorry arse from McRitche Reservoir to Bukit Timah Hill via Rifle range road(which was marked hard for difficulty), and climb Bukit Timah Hill just because I can.

The weird thing is if you read that the appliance user must be 8 years of age. So it means if you're above 8 or below 8,you cannot operate the said appliance. I hope you have a spare 8 year old around, NH.

I woke up at 6.00 am on Saturday, 6.30 am on Sunday, 5.30 am on Monday, 5.15 am on Tuesday. I finally get to do 7 am tomorrow I think. Then 6.45 am on Friday.

The fun part about today:

7 am: 1h body combat
12.30 pm: 1h of weights
5 pm: 1h of badminton with colleague

And now I'm heading to another 1h session of high intensity interval training(if I can get there in time). You know, this is the first time I've done like... 4 sets of physical activity in a single day? Usually I only do 2-3. Wonder if I'm up to it. I think I am.

I know most people who watch me do back to back gym classes think I have inhuman stamina. Well, I'll admit I've got quite a lot of endurance (that comes from making yourself do back to back classes). Or running for an hour straight.
