I do not in fact have that option. It is a use it or lose it type situation.

Went to the offical Fantasy Flight keyforge tournament. It was a lot of fun! I became 64 or 212 so not too shabby :)
I earned a unique playmat for my efforts.
Due to the noise and sensory overload I have a pretty bad headache now. But it gets worse when I lie down. So I took a lot of pills and I'm distracting myself untill they kick in. I know the screen doesnt help, but distractions are good.

W00t! Party was a colossal hit, Val says it was "the best day of his life", and the bottles of bubble solution inside the pinata DID NOT BREAK. Also, the cake and the pinata turned out so well that two different moms asked me where I bought them.
To go with the bacon theme, I made a yellow bundt cake with maple buttercream and crumbled bacon on top, to mimic a doughnut at a popular local doughnut shop. They call that combination the "Canadian Healthcare". The cake really looked like a giant doughnut.

While coming up with ideas for replacing our aging couch, the General says "So, what are some 'outside the box' ideas? Do they make cat trees for humans?" Crookshanks gasps and says "I've always wanted to climb cat trees!".
If you could, I'm fairly certain that Impus Major would already have one.

Woooow... you learn something every day!
California is one of the states where they're required by law to pay it out, but Googling it only about half the states do that.
I'd say, "Move to California", but the cost of living would annihilate that extra cash in under a month...
'Cause California is one of the few places not completely bought and paid for by the corporate machine.

Yeah I'm glad everything went off without a hitch. Compliments on the food are always nice =)
Crumbled bacon, though? Isn't bacon more to a salty kind of thing?

I use uncured, applewood-smoked bacon... less salty when it's uncured, and the meat is sweeter. And salty and sweet go well together anyhow... like sea salt chocolates or caramel.

And yet, in Illinois, we get the vacation paid out. Unless that was just company policy when I quit my last job. If I quit this one (which I would love to do) I would get almost a full months pay from saved up vacation time.
I should probably use more of it.

OK I understand sea salt caramel. It makes the sweetness less cloying. My brother and my aunt are great fans of it.

Mine does roll over, to a limit. I think it's about 6 weeks.

Just made myself whole grain spaghetti with pork, bacon bits, yellow capsicum, egg and Cheddar cheese. 11 slices of Cheddar in the fridge left. Expiry date is end April.
My flour is expiring on the 31 of March 2019,so probably best to bake it up.
Note to self, adding actual milk, rather then water and full cream milk powder seems to make cakes rise up more. From yesterday's chocolate cake experiment.
Also I need to get to prepping Strange Aeons Book 2 and Ironfang Invasion book 5.

In not-so-good news, my drains have been running slow the last week or two, and I wound up having to call a plumber out tonight because they weren't draining at all. I figured correctly that it was roots in the sewer line, since the same thing had happened when I bought the house a little over 2 years ago. I had tried using some stuff that is supposed to clear roots, but it didn't work. Anyways, I called at a little after 5pm, heard back within 20 minutes, and the guy showed up about 20 minutes after that. Now, when I had the sewer line cleaned last time, the guys who came (from the same company as this time) had said that they had been to the house for the previous owner and that it didn't have an outside clean-out, but did have an inside one so they used that. Then they said "The company doesn't do sewer line work other than cleanings, but we do on the side. If you want, here's my number, call and we can install an exterior clean-out for about $500-$600." I never did. When the guy came today I told him that I didn't have an exterior clean-out, and he said "Well, I'll poke around anyways. You never know." Within 2 minutes he found it. That let him clean the line more quickly and easily compared to using the inside one, which saved me money. Now I'm wondering if the first guys either said I didn't have one because it was December and they didn't want to be outside, or if they were trying to rip me off by getting me to pay them to install one. Or if they just legitimately thought it didn't have one.
Vidmaster7 |
Probably trying to rip you off.
We had some water issues ourselves All the flooding made our septic tank back up. The first set of plumbers said it wasn't a clog and we"d have to have it pumped. After watching videos and doing the work myself turns out it was a clog. Some people are idiots and some are greedy. Probably doesn't matter which in the long run.

Little tip FAWTLers If you use Google to make a reservation double check the date. The default search it goes for is the cheapest night. not the current night.
Don't know if he used Google for it or not, but I had a guy check in a few minutes ago who had made reservation for next Saturday instead of tonight. Got him straightened out easily enough, but he sure was embarrassed.

The lady we had was more angry then embarrassed. We were all sold out. 2nd shift was dealing with her as I was coming in. Its not like its our fault she booked on the wrong night plus there isn't anything we can do about it.

Oh yeah. Been there before. Thankfully it's been a while, but I know how that goes.

Minsk and Boo, Vidmaster7. How could you spell their names wrong? =(
Build a front line character so you need to take less rest breaks(Shadows of Amn). Because resting is for wimps. And when you customise your own character you can be more leet then given characters.
Anymore then that and I'm spoiling the story.

So worked on it for like 6 hours but got Baldur's Gate 2 to work, I shouldn't leave such a fan favorite unplayed. Any advice for someone just beginning the game for the first time?
My brother played a berserker which worked out pretty well. I played a paladin which was pretty underpowered until I got my hands on
..*name redacted uber holy weapon*. Then I was literally mage bane cause all spells bounced off me.But I find their front line NPCs quite lacking. Minsc is fine but other then that you either have a holier then thou paladin or some ebul dwarf, which might not sit well with how you want to play. Also, I always believe in having a spare front liner.
Just a Mort |
You see there's only so much paladin preaching I can take before it drives me bonkers. If you're doing a good run I think paladins are okay, but if you're more to the chaotic side, I don't see how it's going to turn out well. I find that the general FAWTL dude seems to be leaning towards CG. Sure, there are pockets of law around, like me and Orthos, but mostly FAWTL seems to be about personal freedoms.
Minsc is da best, and if you don't do an evil run, I don't see him causing too many problems with your party. And frankly I find Baldur's Gate evil characters eh...a little shallow. I dunno but somehow computer RPG evil mode has always seemed petty and shallow to me. Like you go around kicking kittens and puppies and betraying your best buds.
Or maybe its that inherent dropped out of pally skool part of me talking.
