The extent of my costuming is I once drew a line down the middle of my face with washable marker and put my hair in a forward facing ponytail and told everyone I was a horse's ass, got runner up in a costume contest.

I can't pinpoint specifics, but I will say that I'm a big musical fan and will typically seek out soundtracks...and I have yet to do so for Hamilton. I have no idea why.

It's not that it's hip-hop. It's not my favorite genre by any stretch, but if it's something other than the "b%+&&es and bling" trash, I can give it a shot. And I do like Lin-Manuel Miranda.

It's not the historical inaccuracies. I love Disney's take on Hercules, and if I can sit through that research failure, I should be primed for anything.

It's not that I'm in the middle of nowhere with no real prayer of ever seeing the show live. Didn't stop me from hunting down other soundtracks.

So...yeah. I have absolutely no rational explanation, but I have been overwhelmingly meh on the idea of Hamilton. Don't know when I'll seek it out.

I will once again mention that I had absolutely negative interest in Hamilton. I just... I couldn't find any enthusiasm to look it up, or real interest in it.

My sister-in-law (much like me, she's never seen the show) was a huuuuuuuuuuge fan, but I just... it didn't generate the enthusiasm. I'd run into a couple of things praising it, and I ran across quite a few YouTubers suddenly singing songs from it, but... eh.

What changed that was stumbling across Johnathan Young and Caleb Hyles starting to do covers over it (and collabs on a cover). They're both just so good, it was powerful and compelling. From there, I stumbled across a couple of animatics, and then I just... found it amazing.

Even if you haven't seen the show, listening to the soundtrack is kind of similar to listening to an audio book weaving a compelling and powerful story.

After getting into the full soundtrack and story, I've also found amazing things like Weird Al's Polka version, or many, many other variant covers.

Here's two and a half hours of music on YouTube - save it for later or ignore it if you wish.

And, of course, there's things like the Hamildolph video I posted earlier which features seven grown men cosplaying as Santa, some of his reindeer, and Rudolph, with added 18th century/Founding Father-flair, all singing Hamilton-parodic music (heavily referential to both Hamilton and the various Rudolph Christmas specials over the years). Which is just... it's just... it's amazing. Guys, how can you not see how amazing that is.

He and Hyles both are top-tier; Young typically has better production values, I think, but I find both absolutely amazing. Also Melinda Ross ("Google Translate Sings") - she has a funny bit, but an amazing voice, and is simply phenomenal. Or3o's (most recent) cover of Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul is amazing, as is Squiggly Digg's cover of Or3o's original song, "All Eyes on Me." But now I'm just starting to list YouTubers I like, and I could be here aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll day.

Feel free to enjoy it~!

Her particular vocal style does not perfectly mesh with all of the songs she does, and I haven't checked out her older version of the same song; apparently she re-released it as a celebration of her time as a YouTuber - but it works very well, and she actually hits hard notes without much apparent "reaching" which... that's very impressive.

I didn't like Dark Sun and I know nothing of Planescape.

Edit: And Star Wars RPG has to go in there somewhere.

Hmmm…

Don't know if I can fit in ten options, so I'll probably cheat a bit.

1. Warhammer 40K & Fantasy
2. Storyteller Games - particularly Exalted, Mage and Vampire Dark ages.
3. Shadowrun
4. Shadow of The Demon Lord
5. Legend of the Five Rings
6. Conan 2d20
7. Symbaroum
8. StarWars
9. Various D&D settings - particularly Pathfinder, Planescape, Darksun and Forgotten Realms.
10. Call of Cthulhu (and other CoC based settings).

Yea, stuff like that is what partially made come to the conclusion of 'busy Gods' ^^

Another thing that I've wondered about is, well if demonic society mirrors mortal society do we see things like division of labour? I mean are there demonic farmers, technically they don't need to eat, but they like doing so...so there is kind of a 'market' for it. We know that there seem to be trading and manufacture present.
So I guess I'm kind of wondering if its possible that there's something akin to a rustic demon, minding his/hers/its own business, never really setting foot outside its abysmal home...kind of like you're average nameless backdrop npc who kind of just there. Cause, well demonic stats kind of suggest otherwise - namely a overt specialization in dealing with the likes of mortal.

I FINISHED THE STUPID TRAIN AT TWO THIS MORNING!
AND I STILL GOT FIVE AND A HALF HOURS OF SLEEP!

All I have to right now is:
* make coffee. All the coffee.
* Throw together a cowcatcher and a smokestack.
* Put all the various flat pieces in the car, along with a good knife, a big roll of Gorilla Tape, some touch-up-paint.
* have a shower.

I think I've actually constructed something that will be *fairly* stable. I only have one edge that is going to need some reinforcing, and I will have approx. two hours to fold/assemble all the bits in place (12:30-2:30), then take the kids home for their choice of nap or reading quietly on their bunks while I make a dish for the potluck and whip the house into readiness for the influx of three extra 5 and 6 year old boys after the party.

*Give LM a thumbs up*

Not that kind of photos. I paired them with some tight suede leggings and boots and borrowed WW's longbow and took pictures in the woods.

1. Pathfinder. Maybe because it's the system on which I learned to GM, so it's the one I understand the best (not just mechanics, but history, geography, pantheon, etc.), and understanding makes for better enjoyment. It's also made me resolve to study harder for campaigns in the future.

2. Call of Cthulhu.

3. Ravenloft.

4. Second Edition D&D (mostly for the nostalgia factor, like the way you feel about your first childhood bicycle. Mine was British racing green and was, I think, from Germany. It was pretty awesome. My mother even found me a warm pullover that matched it.

5. Forgotten Realms. I was bored by it. Maybe it's just the way it was GM'd.

Problem Kjel, is if you wanna measure my heartrate, you're welcome to carry that stethoscope and come running with me. I pull off 9 km/h for like 30 mins. I personally wouldn't care for carrying a stethoscope and chasing some sorry arse that far, I was trying to keep pace with a girl pushing her dog in a pushcart. I managed for 2.4 km, but that was about it. She's also a lot better runner then I am.

This is a joke.

Here's the totally serious for real guide, and you must follow every step exactly without fail:

1) have an old George Foreman your parents gave you
2) have meat your parents gave you
3) boil water on the stove
4) put store-bought noodles in the water you're boiling; turn water to "lower temperature" than the high boil temperature that you're using; look, I don't know, you know your stove better than me - it should still be hot and maybe boiling but less or whatever
5) look, this is pasta, just make it kind of soft via guesswork and hope
6) thereafter, drain it while you put on the George Foreman
-6a) if you haven't, yet, thaw the meat; my preference is leaving it in the vacuum seal it came in, and putting on the water until it gets soft and floppy instead of frozen and hard
-6b) use lots of soap to clean your hands in between handling meat (I use dish soap)
7) put the floppy soft meat on the George Foreman; with a fork or whatever, cut the meat while it's on the 'Foreman; after you're satisfied it's cut up enough, close the lid
-7a) I have a set of nested plastic bags, and I put any nasty stuff in them; you do you
8) grill until the meat is all brown, and some of it rather dark
9) put meat in a big bowl
10) put store-bought red sauce in the same big bowl
11) put store-bought mild salsa in the same big bowl (not a lot, though)
12) put store-bought Parmesan in the same big bowl (a lot, though)
13) mix; if it's still cold warm it in the microwave or whatever
14) put the noodles in bowls, put the sauce on the noodles, and put store-bought cheese on the sauce
15) enjoy

Each step is clearly necessary, and absolutely necesarily must be done exactly as I saaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

As an unrelated aside, I did this tonight, and it worked out pretty well!

To be honest...not that impressed so far.

Also - 80% quirks is a bit ridiculous. The inverse would still have a metric s%##-ton of heroes and not be so...stupid. I mean, heroes wouldn't even be a THING with that high of a percentage.

Wow... not only is Fallout 76 the buggiest game I've seen in at least 35 years, but they're looking at a possible class-action lawsuit over locking out their returns...
...and Shiro, Lara Croft Guy, and GothBard had just completed a mission (at level 49) and a level 109 guy just ran up and started trying to kill Lara Croft Guy. Since PVP is "semi-optional" (unless you enable it, hostile players do very little damage to you) it was an amazing display of <expletive deleted>.

The guy just locked on to Lara Croft Guy, beating on him, following him around, making sure that he couldn't play the game. For a solid 6 minutes.

Don't people have anything better to do with their lives?

(And is it any wonder I refuse to even own an online game where you can't 100% disable PvP?)
