I can say I've never run into any place with a policy like that.
"No shoes, no shirt, no service" policies, on the other hand....
There's a couple places around here that have some bad deals with their credit card vendors.
The diner I eat most of my lunches at has a ridiculous cost per credit transaction that means he loses money any time the total is under $5 and they want to use a card. The diner is on the first floor of my office building, and when I run back in to grab some bottles of water or whatever he just goes "Vany, I'll just put the $3 on your lunch bill. Don't worry about it." The price for the water is $1.25 per bottle before city and state taxes and I'm usually grabbing them 3 at a time. I figure that's a win-win for both of us.
My local game store has "No shoes, no shirt, no soap, no service" on their door.

Good>Law
Arrrrghhh my secret is out!
I'm a doppelganger who's eaten up the kitty cat. Yum-yum!

I knew how to alias ages ago. I PBP, come on. It's just I have soo many unused ones since many of the games I signed up for folded.
I try not to create anymore aliases, since I view it as wasteful.
I don't get to use some of my aliases enough. like this one. Its rare circumstances. I blame quibblemuch. I haven't seen him post in quite awhile.

On a more serious note, prioritizing law over good leads to some screwed up situations. I.e say A paladin in Nazi Germany has some jews seeking refuge. Turning them over to the authorities, and thus to their deaths – is not what I’d consider a good act. Though it may be a lawful one.
And when you have a corrupt empire, with kangeroo courts, is being lawful something to be proud off?
And at the end of the day the word paladin is defined as a knight renowned for heroism and chivalry.
Gautier's Ten Commandments of chivalry are:
1. Thou shalt believe all that the Church teaches and thou shalt observe all its directions.
2. Thou shalt defend the Church.
3. Thou shalt respect all weaknesses, and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them.
4. Thou shalt love the country in which thou wast born.
5. Thou shalt not recoil before thine enemy
6. Thou shalt make war against the infidel without cessation and without mercy.
7. Thou shalt perform scrupulously thy feudal duties, if they be not contrary to the laws of God.
8. Thou shalt never lie, and shalt remain faithful to thy pledged word.
9. Thou shalt be generous, and give largesse to everyone.
10. Thou shalt be everywhere and always the champion of the Right and the Good against Injustice and Evil
So how does commandment no. 3, and commandment no. 10 fall within serving the laws of an evil empire?
Commandment No.7 even states you should respect the laws of the land, ONLY IF they are not contrary to the laws of God.

Hmm I could be wrong but I think theirs a rule about bringing paladin debates into this thread.

The scary thing about me is I pretty much remember everything that has been said...and get to quote posts like it's nothing.
Like it's not the first time I've been talking about paladins
I think it's caused by the nature of my work.

It absolutely is not. Unless your metaphysical Law has some very ugly components.

It gets really murky when you have to start trying to look at the same laws from multiple different perspectives. I personally like to think with the right effort time and smart you could make some pretty absolute and effective laws to govern a nation but the reality seem to prove over and over that reality is to subjective and chaotic.
