Nekkid teleportation misfire vanishing posts for *maybe, maybe not* TTotP?

*blink*

My jibbly movie was "Halloween." I saw it at the premier midnight release in Evanston, IL, which looks remarkably like the town in the movie. Then I walked home to my empty apartment in the dark afterwards. I swear I pushed back every door to the wall before I enetered a room for about six months.

I'm back. Been doing a plethora of outside stuff while we still had some sun (squee!). Crocii are up here, and my garlic is sending out first shoots as well. Time to get dinner and baby monkey cared for.

I posted another post, I swear, and it disappeared. I thought it ghosted and tried to *blink* it out and it flat out disappeared. Weird.

I had the same thing happen to me recently. The really odd thing for me was that it was showing in my history, but when I clicked on it there, it couldn't seem to find it.

There must be some phantom *clicking* going on...

For me it wasn’t so much a movie, but when I was about 8 I borrowed a book about vampires, werewolves, ghouls and other ‘classic’ horrors from the library. It was meant for much older readers and had a lot of stories about ‘actual’ sightings and encounters with the creatures. Scarred me for years. Fortunately, RPGs a few years later were good therapy.

I saw Clockwork Orange and Deliverance when I was five. Nothing phases me.

I take that back; the witch from Wizard of Oz scared me til I was eight.
I'd shoot her crazy ass now, but when I was a kid.....

Well book wise it was when I found Lovecraft in my JR. High Library. I also found out we had every book from him in the library system. I must have driven the librarians nuts ordering them all from the various schools in the district.

Well, the apartment is pretty much cleaned up, and my wife and both my kids are coming down to Charlotte, so we can continue on to Alpharetta tomorrow. Hopefully, we'll be able to find a decent apartment quickly. :)

I'll be back online sometime this weekend.

There's a neat little ad on page 91 of Wayfinder #4. I can say no more, though. :)

Hey, anybody interested in building some table of random fey curses? Where forumwise should such a thread go?

Reminds me of this thread that I put out there ... wow ... 3 and a half years ago. (Has it really been that long ago?)

I'd put it in the 3.5 area. There seem to be fewer trolls there nowadays...

Indeed, it is a new paradise. I need to start posting in the aasimar/tiefling/resurrection threads again.

Which got me wondering. Do any of you have a movie that you probably watched too early and had a scene or two in it that still creeps you out today?

A Clockwork Orange on HBO, when I was, oh, 10. Very disturbing, and a lot of things my young mind couldn't comprehend at the same time.

The creatures from the Dark Crystal still freak me out. Not the bad guys, the regular characters. I dont' know what it is about them, but they make me back away, perhaps the only thing I have an unreasonable fear of.

Not at all. Even as an adult, there's something about the Superman Animated Series version of Toy Man that to me is really disturbing. And that's a cartoon. The first episode of Friday the 13th the Series has a similar thing with dolls.
I liked that series. I've always wanted to run a campaign based on the premise of that show.
Writing was rather good. Acting? Um, not so much...

I am a huge fan of this series, I'm watching it again through netflix. Would LOVE to turn each of those items into a true cursed magic item for D&D/PF, even the ones whose abilities were never mentioned- snowshoes, top hat, sacrificial dagger, etc.

I did a game based on that show, well and a bit of X-files thrown in. It was fun, my buddy even talked his neighbors into playing. Artsy girls who have never roleplayed trying to play Horror. Is a BLAST!!

Oh man, what was that like?! DETAILS!!!!!

I am off from the main job until next Tuesday. I am off from the second job tonight, as I worked the Black Party yesterday. I don't think I've ever worked there on a Friday before, it was more subdued than the Saturday.

What do I have to do to get a badger package? Everyone else seems to be getting one...I hope it's not a mauling-in-a-box.

You also have an unreasonable fear of Josh Whedon. There is a cure for that you know.

I really think Friday the 13th/The X-files/Warehouse 13 took much of their inspiration from Bureau 13, the obscure little RPG from the early eighties that failed to really take off. I have a friend who says the rules system pretty much blew, but the concept is great. We play a B13 game online via Maptools and Teamspeak. Warehouse 13 is especially similar, with them being a Gov. agency.

morning, must mentally prepare for basketball...

I haven't seen my bracket results from yesterday. I think I may cry when I see who won/lost.

Honestly I was in awe of bureau 13 and have slipped little things about the game into several other things I have run. The game system was crapola but the story was great. Abe Lincoln creates the 13th bureau of the federal government to combat vampires and other fiends then goes on to help run it from beyond the grave. Awesome sauce.

NO Basketball in this house. I have to deal with none of it as long as I stay away from down town.
