~SCREAMS AGAIN~ Monday ate my scales! ~runs away screaming~

Does this even really count as a Monday for us Stateside? Since almost all businesses are closed for the holiday.

At my parents celebrating their fiftieth anniversary~! Woo!
(Hence the silence.)

Fifty years. Wow. Blessings upon them.

I get the day off from work I just don't get paid for it :/

Hmmm I didn't do any shark fishing all weekend....though the wind has been horrible here for the last two weeks making the water muddy and bringing in lots off seaweed...stupid weather.

I do love setting up around people with 10 to 12ft poles fishing for the same stuff I am only I'm using a 6 to 7ft pole and I'm the only one catching anything....probably adhere to the stupid belief that only big bait catches big fish...or no fish. I like to give them a snack big enough to be enticing but not so big to make a meal out of it....maybe I should make a paizo fishers thread I could talk to probably like 1 or 2 other people there or at least myself...

Day off?
What day off?

I had to go and tech (yet another) dance show today.
The good news is, they wanted to get out too. So I got to go home and grill some de-lic-ious burgers. :)

And drink Hard Cider.

Considering smoking my pipe tonight. (I don't like smoking. But there is something relaxing about puffing on a Gandalf-pipe.) ;P

Happy Holiday to those who got one!

Note to self: Do not ever go into a recently unsealed tomb of a dead princeling inside and ask to take away the holy artifact buried with him for safekeeping intending to give it away to the paladin (or sell it to highest bidder when the paladin won't be looking). Send the paladin to do it himself.

What the hell will I do with a bastard sword that I can't give away?! I can barely wield it...

Put max ranks in Profession(Benihana's chef), and open a restaurant. It would be a hell of a show.

Heavy rain and flooding in the Houston area. My office is closed as a result - but I am working from home. At least I get to avoid the long drive and headaches due to the rain today.

Hope everyone in the US had a great holiday.

Luckily, the roads to work were clear for me -- but I find myself sitting in a mostly-deserted office. It's kind of creepy.

AZ made it to work. He fortunately works just outside of the loop. Lady LPM posted that she was able to stay home safe and dry.

For those not on facebook:

Here is a picture taken outside of my office this morning. Fortunately, I was safe and dry 67 miles to the north.

My office surrounded by water. May 26, 2015

Here is the latest picture a few hours later. The waters have receded.

About 7 hours later, the water has drained away.

It is time to leave Seattle once more. But I will be glad to be home again.

24 hours removed from Paizocon and no sign of con crud. I think I'm clear.

How was the Con?

Excellent. I had a wonderful time. Big bag of swag at check-in. Ran a couple of games for Kobold Press and had two tables of fine players. First time I've ever attacked the party with the antagonist's lawn. The new venue has plenty of space to accommodate the con, and the hotel staff was very helpful. Put some faces (and sometimes names) to a few more forum handles and had some great conversations. Good times.

I didn't kill any PCs, but I sure scared some players.

Just spent close to ten minutes trying to figure out why my front room was full of smoke. Then I cleaned my glasses, and the smoke was mysteriously gone. Magic!

It's not even close and yet I am already nervous about even thinking of living with someone else.

Why does it feel like I'm progressing straight from my 20s into my 40s?

that's usually how it goes.

Pretty sure I've said it before, but Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner is easily in my top-10 fantasy novels. Lovely prose, and even most of the tertiary characters have enough detail to make you care (or very much not care) for them.

Of course, the main protagonist is a bit of a sociopath who kills people because it amuses his lover...

Or you turn 35 around the time you become a teenager. Which sucks when you're a teenager, but feels pretty good when you catch up to yourself and your friends are having early mid-life crisises.

~looks at the loot and makes a face~ ewww!!! Freehold DM's belly-button lint collection and his earwax snack machine? No thanks. ~sneaks up on Freehold DM and reverse pickpockets him, putting it back~

Sorry, it cannot be released by a dragon once it has been touched. Soon it will grow, covering your body like a fine fuzz.

Lynora workout- complete. Ish. Low on time and I could not fit in squats. Brought yoga mat so I could do some push-ups and sit-ups. 100 each. It's a start.

Well...in order to save a really cool project that I've put in a lot of time on I sorta...took over. Now I'm project manager. I just went from really busy to super freakin' busy.

Funny thing is that Louis will be doing layout for this project, so in a strange reversal I get to tell him what to do for a change.
