Meh. In the morning there is a chimney/ventilation control... Either they will come and wake me up (blargh) or it will be one of those people that can't knock on the door to save his life and I will sleep through... Meaning they will need to come later and pester me again. Knowing my luck they will wake me up and go away before I manage to get up mixing the bad part of both - waking me up and coming again.
Watched the first episode of what looks like a good WW2 drama - Un Village Français. (I'm afraid "les Bouches" are the bad guys in this one, Aeglos.)
Turns out having a security police's search for Communists among Spanish refugees at a lumberyard get interrupted by German advance troops is a pretty effective way to demonstrate the surprise of the blitzkrieg.

Morn... Uh. Past 3 PM... ing.
I woke up at seven. I was woken up at 9. I went back to bed and slept some more while waking up from time to time. Finally I am up.
The mattress seems to be squashing and flattens in the wrong places. I should start considering getting a new mattress but in such case it would be good to start thinking about completely new bed... Argh. Costs, costs... Not to mention need to move things around...

I've been waiting on an important phone call since Thursday, so, of course they'd call this morning, during the five minutes I was in the shower, from a no-reply number, and without leaving a message. I only know it was them because when I dialed the number, I got a no-reply message that gave the name of the business. Now I have to send e-mail messages to three different people asking exactly who it was that called me and what their actual phone number is. This is so much fun.

For eight months of working together I failed to connect my Lithuanian supervisor's properly Lithuanian name with Polonized version of it that I know from history lesson: Kestutis, pronounced Kastas, with polonized version being Kiejstut, pronounced Kieystut.
So it's official: working is detrimental to one's intellect...

I've crossed the North Sea during storm once - it was a big boat on a sadly defunct ferry line (damn you, RyanAir) - but I'll still prefer to avoid a repeat.
At least, unlike my travelling companions, I didn't get seasick (again, big boat).
Meh. Rain.
