I'll be meeting ya'll for lunch today. Do you think plant man will be offended if I eat a salad? It's Friday so my choices are limited today.

Lavendar tea is actually lavendar. Tea is usually some shade of brown or yellow. Seeing purple tea in my mug is a little weird. I like it. :)

Can anyone explain to me the problem with comic sans? Is it the Internet being stupid or something else?

BBC News: "What's so wrong with Comic Sans?"

"Ban Comic Sans Manifesto"

I hate CS because it is overused, looks bad, and looks very unprofessional. If this makes me a font bigot, so be it.

Amby hit it on the head, most design professionals and developers will not utilize it

you also see this with the Papyrus typeface

At the moment my favorite is Georgia.

But... I like papyrus...

Added two more FaWtLs to the list I have met in person. Mairkurion and Solnes. Also, Aberzombie and Wolfthulu who I have gamed with previously were at lunch as well. It was great talking with them.

Atlantic Ocean is a conspiracy against me! Conspiracy I say!

Late bills for flat administration and some utility bills back in Poland paid. Time to earn money for paying the rest of debts and for living for some time (at least half a year, maybe more, depending upon how much I save and the tax I'll have to pay when I return home).

Shaky update:

A landslide caused by the earthquake revealed dozens of mummies right next to a housing complex. 12,000-year old mummies, more specifically.

Seismic event or primeval god trying to escape their prison?

Getting laid off on the 18th. Yay me. Been down this road at this time last year. Lets hope it lasts a lot less time.

Then I brought some stuff to the new house. I'll bring more after the boy goes to bed.

Brooklyn was a bust. Found out the night before that the show was sold out and they weren't selling tickets at the door. Ended up not even going down to the city.

Show in Hudson went well, other than the fact that security pulled the plug during the middle of the fourth band's set. Also ended up having to knock a hole in a wall in order to retrieve a lost 4-track recorder.

And for the record, driving from the Hudson Valley to Syracuse starting at 2 AM is a bad plan. Car camping FTW.

I went through Calibri phase some time ago. I used Verdana a lot afterwards and only recently I switched to Georgia.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Saturday! One week until the Big Move Part 2. Today I'll spend some time at the new house, bringing some stuff over and installing a new shower head in the master bath.

Scarab Sages

But, for the time being, methinks it's time for some coffee. Maybe some biscuits as well.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Quiet morning. Watching mlp, followed by doing taxes then laundry.

Bacon at IHOP with pancakes.

Oh, did I mention bacon and pancakes.

Pleasantly warm outside, a little breezy. Going for a walk while the going's good.

Unfortunately it's all cloudy here, just when I was hoping to paint some mini's. (hopefully it's not the toxic fog)

Anyway, FHDM 1/3 fun things is good and BP sounds really quite nice/tasty.

Homemade biscuits, gravy and eggs for breakfast.

I took the advantage of a free day and a beautiful weather and went for a walk. It was fine but I could put less cloth on me - I didn't suspect that it is so warm...

If I nap now I will wake up in the evening and going to sleep will be harder... Also father insist on being jerk and watches TV very loudly... I envy my mother being in Poland now. If I was there I would have my lovely 30 GBit/s broadband. Which I will switch to 60 soon after return.

iBack.

Went for about an hour walk. Came home, house was empty - parents left this morning before I woke, sister went to a party then work. Drove to bank, got rent money. Drove to used bookstore, picked up the only Brandon Sanderson book I could find in the entire store (The Well of Ascension - book two of Mistborn, I have book one, just need three now). Also got on-the-spot grilled hot dogs from the guy out front selling them. Mmmm.

Drove home, house is still empty. Just chilling now.

Had an awesome GURPS game today. Details later on, it's late here.
