Scarab Sages

Feeling blargity. I keep getting these stupid little colds. Driving me crazy. I blame my children. Like all youth, they are pestilence on short, stubby legs.

Scarab Sages

Gonna be another busy day. Try to have a good one FAWTLY Folk!

Why?

Did you find out I was editing it? :P

First thing ever submitted for publication under my own name. Please edit it. Maybe you can get it from 1500 to 750.
Well done at least you submitted something, I know my own writing isn't upto that standard.

It's not your fault. I blame the British education system. :P

* Not an April Fool's Joke *

Starting to get some nibbles on the search for a new job. I have an interview with a recruiter in Dallas on Wednesday, and an interview with a company on Thursday. Fingers crossed on the Thursday interview because that means I won't have to relocate.

Let's just say......f!@$ing mayonnaise!!!

So in other words, they made it better?

Mmmmmm. Mayonnaise.

This makes me sad. I'm afraid I will have to move you to the top of the list of people to be devoured first during the zombiepocalypse.

You know CH will put on oneself and stuff himself with mayonnaise?

AZ will probably try to switch your mayonnaise supply for barbecue sauce...

This is a good strategy. But you never know when the zombies will strike. I'll just have to make sure I am smothered in mayonnaise at all times.

Starting now.

This will make poutine and ice cream outings... Challenging.

Quiet day.

The fact that Laura Dern guest-starred as an aging, drug-addicted party girl on Kroll Show amuses me to no end. I wonder if they'll bring back the rest of the "Blue Velvet" cast to do a reunion...

French fries and mayonnaise are an acceptable pairing. We should be just fine.

Mom leaves in less than four hours. Much disorder and running around. Trying not to occupy much space. Sleep patter certainly disrupted by nightly leaving. And still have to get up at 7 to get to work.

Nice Flag! Does the symbol have a particular meaning for the kingdom?

It's a compass rose representing "accepting comers from all corners of the earth"; the colony is far more racially diverse than their parent kingdom, which pretty much consisted mostly of Humans, Halflings, and Kobolds, plus one or two minorities.

The planty green and ice blue represent the FaeReie influence on the Stolen Lands, paying due respect to both Summer and Winter.

My Wayfinder contribution will be limited to editing this time around.

I do appreciate your keen badger eyes and ranks in Wordsmithing. Hopefully you were busy with other paid RPG projects. :)

You give me entirely too much credit. :)

I have been working on a couple of paid projects, but most of my time had been occupied with preparing for six different PFS scenarios (and fighting back the panic that comes with running games for people, because introversion is not cool).

Tablet strikes again! (i.e. posting from bathroom again)

Mom leaves in two hours. It could be good idea to catch some sleep now and then four more hours after dad takes her to bus station.

Tomorrow I will be sleepy all day anyway. Possibly a bit nervous too.

Sleep soon. But first trying to make notes using tablet...

High screen would leave more space after opening keyboard. Also I still find Google drive UI clunky at best...

At least I am slowly getting used to the keyboard despite their small size...

Currently I am thinking that this tablet is I teresting altnative to chromebook. Chrombook would have advantage and disadvantage of being bigger. It would give me a real keyboard allowing for much better edition of text but at the same time it would lack better portability of tablet and obvious advantages of full-scale laptop.

Shaky update:

An 8.0 earthquake just hit the northern part of the country; four cities and dozens of coastal towns are currently under evacuation orders and under tsunami alert.

So far no deaths nor building damage has been reported, however.

That sounds scary, Klaus. Stay safe!

Thanks, Rawr!

Shaky update:

The National Seismological Service updated the magnitude to 8.3; waves are expected to be somewhere around 4-5 metres (12-15 feet), so nothing too terrible. Still, the cities in the area happen to be extremely flat and extremely close to the water, so no one's taking any chances.

98% of the population has already been evacuated and additional warnings have been sent to the rest of the south american Pacific coastal nations (Peru in particular might get the blunt of it, due to the way they face our sea).

As for what's to come, the Service has not ruled out that this could be the opener for an even bigger one, just like we had in 1985, 1960, and 1937.

Two nights in a row now I've moved stuff over to the new house. Just a few boxes and plastic containers here and there. Mostly stuff we never unpacked to begin with.
