Scarab Sages

And we got word that some new furniture we ordered will be delivered this evening. Huzzah for new house furniture!

I shall have to remember to put on clothes before the delivery men arrive.

Scarab Sages

Of course, the time they gave us was between 6 and 7 at night. WTF?

Scarab Sages

All right folks. It's crunch time here in the office. Plenty of work being done to get this big procurement package out the door. Gotta go.

That reminds me.

Orthos, is it OK that Trina brings up the rear (ambush position) in Ancient Evil?

And reading my Aberdeen-set crime novel in the bath brought on this thought: Why aren't the local stores selling hobnobs anymore?

Because they have no taste. What better than chocolate hob-nob to dunk in your tea*?

chocolate rich tea

Okay. I'm spoilering this...

Spoiler:
Had a long talk with the wife today. She really, really wants a separation. She stood by everything she said when I moved back in regarding her feelings, and stated that she still cares for me, but the nature of our relationship was going to have to change. She wasn't and isn't kicking me out, nor is she bringing in someone else. She said she was happy where she was, living in her house, in her old room, looking for work, which she hopes to find soon. She wants me to take time to get used to the idea, as much time as I might need. So.. I'm looking into what a separation entails in new york state. She said it was like a weight off her chest to hear those words, and reminded me that she still cares for me. I said I wasn't marrying anyone else, she said I felt that way now, but I might not feel that way in the future... Aug. I'm doing a bad job of describing what happened. I'm rambling, and that's not what I want to do. I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support they have shown to me over the past few weeks. I have looked at the host of pms sent over the time period every time I have felt weak and instantly felt supported. I'm not sure how I'm going to be over the next few days or even weeks. But it is a true balm to my soul to know that I will be supported by my friends and family here, regardless of what I might do (within reason). I gotta shower and get to work. I'm going out with friends tonight, I think. Maybe go to a bar or something. I want to thank everyone again, especially solnes and amby and tordek and ch, who have be a rock for me during this turbulent time. Alright. I'm going to get clean and go to work.

Make sure you get the right shade of green for those red lines. After all, the customer is always right.

Morning one and all. Hope ya'll are well today, and have a good one ahead. A bit dull here, weather wise, but not cold, and not wet, so, you know, pretty good. :) Thursday! Game night tonight, looking forward to it. Nothing like a TTRPG to lift one's spirits.

I have the kidlet this weekend! \o/ I also have classes in the capital, but that's okay. Parents are helping with minding while I attend them. It has been... 16 days since I last saw him, so I am looking forward to the weekend.

I have not seen the agents of SHIELD, but have heard very mixed reviews. probably will not watch, or at least, not before I catch back up on GoT and TWD. Winter Soldier was good though.

@Tordek - Good luck with job hunting! Or business buying! Whichever, good luck. :)

btw, are walls of text okay? Would a mini blitz be better? I see blitz's more commonly than walls of text here. Maybe I should break my posts up more. Hmm.

Thanks Synos. I don't mind walls of text like this. Although breaking it up into a mini blitz does help with the post count which is part of the original point of this series of threads.

Really? I'm reading it on mangafox. Or, read it on mangafox, last night. I'll check my link after work, send it on to you if it's still there. Definitely on mangafox though, per your original recommendation.

Ha, very true! I forgot that. I thought it was brilliant when I first learned that. The current post count is very impressive. As TOZ recently pointed out elsewhere, FAWTL 6 is one seventh of the length of the entire OOTS forums. 104,617 posts. Mental.

I wish people would deliver that late normally. Always giving work hour times, awkward as heck for us desk jockeys!

Mrgh?

Blitz vs Wall o' Text. I'mma break my posts into blitz's, where applicable, going forward. (He says, while combining two possible posts :P )

THAT sounds like a plan! :)

I know you are in a different emotional place than I was two years ago, but back then you helped me talk through issues with the end of my 9 year partnership. You were a great support to me, although I do not know if you know it. If you need to talk, I want to be there.

So I had a friend request that as a birthday present I GM Library of the Lion for them at the next monthly Pathfinder Society games day that Lamontia and I coordinate (along with help from some other fantastic peeps)

gave me a warm fuzzy feeling very similar to good bourbon

In the past 6 months our house has gone from 3 adult dogs to 1 adult and 1 puppy. It's... quieter.

Spoiler:
It's hitting my brother harder than the rest of us. Paintball was his dog. I was doing alright until the kiddo asked "Paintball, where are you?" yesterday morning. Better today, but I caught myself missing both the old dogs when making toast. (Kaiser, the german shorthair we had to let go a few months ago, was terrified of the popping sound of the toast finishing. I was looking around to make sure he wasn't nearby as I put the toast in.)
